But it’s a little embarrassing that, in almost every location, the Eero 5 lagged behind TP-Link’s Deco X20, even though the two have ostensibly identical hardware. This helps you see at a glance, which devices are connected to the Internet throughout your house when you’re using the app.

Aside from allowing you to extend and target your network coverage, it’s gloriously simple to set up and manage, and more than fast enough for most internet connections. It helps, too, that the Eero doesn’t support any form of WPS, so there’s no way to connect without the passphrase, although this can make connecting clients a bit fiddly.If you find you need more coverage on your Eero 6 or Eero Pro 6 network, the Eero 6 Extender is a great choice for speeds up to 500Mbps. We would recommend contacting your Internet Service Provider to confirm if your router can be used as a modem. Profiles can then be assigned to any device, although each device can only have a single profile applied to it.
