The commentary I felt was very insightful to understand the Greek's perspective of these stories and just some interesting observations, overall. We have two copies of Mythology in our house—one from high school and one that I picked up along the way from a relative who was downsizing. I wouldn’t recommend Stephen’s Fry retelling over this, to me, it doesn’t serve as a replacement but more of a complement.

Through the first quarter of the twentieth century she was the headmistress of the Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore. No one in modern times has shown us more vividly than Edith Hamilton 'the glory that was Greece and the grandeur that was Rome. Vívida nas descrições que faz, deixa perpassar a paixão que sente em cada linha que escreve, tormando a leitura dos seus livros dinâmica e entusiasmante. The unfortunate bit is that she always channels her anger towards the women, who are often unaware that they are getting it on with the almighty himself, and/or the children that they give birth to.Yet it would be unfair not to consider it perfect for what it does, which explains that it continues to sell 80 years after its first publication: how many books can boast such an achievement? E sim, tive sempre más notas nas atividades de leitura desde que me lembro - normal já que nunca lia os livros que me impingiam. And I am one of those people who will flip back to the family tree or index pages to refresh my memory - which is probably one of the many reasons why it took me so long to read this. There are a few inaccuracies, and she barely mentions things like Hercules' trials or the Voyage of the Argo, which are studied in much greater depth generally.
