The fireworks, tail lights, fires and home lights through windows in the dark contrast with the darkness for a really nice glow. There is a beating heart under all the gore and shocking turns, not to mention great direction, effective editing, and a terrific original score. I’m aware that physical media is not how it used to be, but at least allow a beautiful movie like BONES AND ALL to look and sound its best at home. Chalamet has fun getting dirty here and has that onscreen charisma that helped me understand why social media goes crazy over him.

I can't imagine that if you read what I wrote that the impression would be that this a "standard coming-of-age movie". He has done all he can for her, and she’s become a threat to anyone she encounters even though she’s very nice, shy, and soft-spoken.

Home Entertainment will bring to Blu-ray Luca Guadagnino's Bones and All (2022), starring Timothée Chalamet, Chloë Sevigny, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mark Rylance, and Taylor Russell. It is not perfect, but the things which work, such as the relationship between the main characters, the gorgeous cinematography and direction are top notch. This older setting helps sell the cannibals in love through-line as we all romanticise the past regardless of what horrors it is hiding. Luca Guadagnino’s work deserves much more than a standard Blu-ray and some very barely scratching the surface extras, but its not like the film set the box office or awards season on fire.This cannibal love story makes and plays by its own rules, creating deep emotions, depth of character, excellent stakes and emotional heartache that is both seen and felt when watching the film. There was one moment where a characters back that was right up against the frame caused a very slight crush for a second, but nothing else really did anything in aside from that. It is an intimate little film which is unique in the way it tells its love story, and it’s filled with great performances and beautiful scenery.
