Description

I have used for several other DIY tasks over the last year and was using to dismantle some cladding from a shed roof when the tool suddenly stopped and wouldn't start. It seems to like cutting in on a diagonal and not being pressed on too hard, but it gets through nice and cleanly.

PMF 180 opens up a new way of working, enabling you to cut out stuff that is near impossible to do any other way. My wife got me one of these for Xmas 2011, in April 2012 the switch broke and Bosch collected it for repair. I guess I should be okay as I am only doing smaller projects and don't imagine I will use it all the time, just for small jobs when necessary. The Bosch PMF 180 E is an essential tool for any serious Diy enthusiast and really is a useful machine. We stripped paint off 5 or more sash windows with a heat gun and used the sander to get the last of the sticky paint resin off the wood. The result of that was that I had to use the apex sanding attachment to get some of the mitres to join correctly and that was a somewhat laborious process. I cannot understand why they have stopped working as I follow the instructions, I have not burnt the motors out.

Having removed the whole unit, it just lifts out complete, I was able to inspect the crimped connections. The blades have mounting lugs, once these are engaged toy can fasten the blade to the machine by tightening the socket head bolt. Finally, each new sanding sheet somehow damages the pad, after a dozen or so sheets the pad is pretty much ruined. Newcomer to this forum, but bought one of these Bosch PMF 180E, tools the other day and would like to share how useful it is with you all.

First, for grinding, there is a 93mm triangular back liner, which uses all grades of "Velcro" molding sanding plate. He established a hospital, was first businessman, who started to use 8 hour shift rule in his factories and made a lot more to make everyones life better. I have used this tool over a period of about 12 month a few times, cut some tiles, plastic and light sanding. Since opening it up, the motor also seems to get stuck a bit, making that noise when you stall a drill.

If you use the plunge cut saw blade you cannot put the machine into the case without first removing the blade, this is just me being picky! This information does not usually identify you, but it does help companies to learn how their users are interacting with the site. Have to say I'm not impressed, it's an expensive tool to be throwing out after using just 6 times but I think that is where it is heading. I’ve considered getting a dedicated detail sander but to be honest I suspect they all suffer from the same problem so I don’t see much point in shelling out more money – I’d be interested to hear about peoples experiences with other detail sanders though.

Needed to carefully scrape the insulation with a scalpel, tin the wire and add a short piece of thin wire to remake the connection. Has its uses but could be better, i used it to try and cut under skirting boards and it ended up with be ripping them off anyway as the tool took forever and went blunt.
