About this deal

The Micromaster shuttle attaches solidly to Doubledealer’s missile, or rather, the solid rocket booster, now. Unfortunately, it has to go on his head upside down, so the hollow bottom of the missile is showing, which makes no sense. If you don't have either of these molds, this is probably the set to get thanks to the space theme, Sky Lynx tie-in, and other microbuddies that you could keep or flip were you so inclined. Last but not least, this all comes together really well with Sky Lynx, as the new colors are meant to compliment Sky Lynx’s base mode.

Fans can convert Overair and Ironworks into their Modular Battle Station modes and connect them together to form a large base of operations.Sponsor News BBTS: Power Rangers, Star Wars, Jurassic Park Hammond Collection, Yamaguchi Moon Knight, G. For this gallery I largely stuck with the intended configurations, but with each Modulator having two or three intended base modes, you could do a lot to restyle this in a way that better suits you.

Every year, the Botropolis High Council selects citizens to serve and protect on one needy world, though from all appearances, the only thing the worlds need protection from is rogue Go-Bots.Overair is a new-to-USA character based on the USA's airport base with Airwave, but in new colors and using Selects Hot House as the base. Check out the images in the gallery for a full look at the Cybertron Galactic Odyssey Collection Botropolis Rescue Mission images. The missile is clearly meant to be attached to the gun as shown, but it is not shown in the instructions because Hasbro was too lazy to put it in. There's nothing bad about it, but it was released way after Christmas with non-recognizable characters during a period of new product announcements and some of the best revisions to the main cast in years. The Botropolis Rescue Mission tells the story (sort of) of a Micromaster patrol that needs to go and save Sky Lynx who has gotten lost in space.

The point is, there’s a lot of potential here, and if I’d tried to depict all of it, this would be over a hundred photos deep and it still wouldn’t be done being posted. Ironworks has been repainted to match Earthrise Commander Sky Lynx, which would make more sense if Overair was also painted in those colors, but I’ll get to him. I would go as far as to say that doesn't make it a particularly good toy, since Blast Master is too back-heavy to stand up. Originally I only got the set for the G1 Micromaster Missile Master and Moonrock homages but now the rest of the set has grown on me.Even setting that aside though, I always felt like the micro-playset aspect never really got the proper attention in this incarnation. As it's a new color scheme of a previously remade toy, you should probably just like it for its own sake and if you squint, the duo is not unlike Storm Jet in vehicle mode. Now I’m thinking if I should get a spare Sky Lynx just to have the whole Rocket Base set permanently displayed. Overall: Hasbro could have gone the extra mile with a separate launch pad and solid rocket boosters.

Nothing's perfect, but it's close enough - I can't imagine they're going to take another crack at Micromasters in the next several years without a breakthrough in manufacturing. When Japan sold the Micromaster bases, they didn’t really make any changes to the bases, and they didn’t even bother renaming some of them. My "Astroworks" (who I've dubbed "Payload") came with his crane-arm somehow paint or glue-locked at the elbow. Wound up having to unscrew it and then very carefully sliding a spudger into the back of the joint to lever the red "elbow" part loose. His gun has been replaced with a platform and a removable soft plastic missile that can also be put on his head.Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). Four Micromasters from the Astro Squad are included, but you'd be under a lot of stress if you had to figure out what they were supposed to be named, because they don't have official names. It’s only a shame that there wasn’t a renamed Ironworks anywhere to give the one in this set a new identity. Whether transformed or as Botropolis, these Transformers are ready to scour the universe on a rescue mission that’s sure to turn up some Decepticons along the way. It's a clever retool that gives you a toy not entirely unlike what was sold during the original run of the Micromasters, but at the cost of some play functionality.
