Ellie the Cat is no ordinary novel about a cat, it’s about friendship and understanding and had a nice twist in the tale. The inter-generational relationship between Ellie and her Grandma develops into something quite heart-warming too. I remember reviewing her earlier novel, Robot Girl knowing that Malorie would keep up creating the magic of her storytelling for all, whether it’s sci fi, fantasy, or the modern era.

Bronnie is so lovely with the boys and we also felt that having a man enthusing about the books set a great example.
