About this deal

It's not quite to the high standard many of those figures have set, but it certainly isn't far off it either.

The larger robot is formed by a process of armouring up the smaller one; just like the Siege version and in a way similar to utilising a Weaponizer. Although if you think THAT'S as weird as we can go, this thread's original source of credible leaks Apollux says he's now seen Wingfinger's instructions and described his appearance as a mix of G1 Whirl and a Xenomorph, down to having no real eyes, so make of that what you will. The missile launchers are white plastic with red paint, and the rifle is red plastic with silver paint.

While most of the Magnus armour is used to form the trailer, the shoulder pieces actually clip onto the back of the cab to give it extra length and allow the whole thing to fix together. just kinda sucks (outside of the awful Dark of the Moon Deluxe class one): the core robot of Siege's Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime is clearly a retool of the Ultra Magnus mold (it's only when he's armored up that he actually looks like the Transformers Cybertron Optimus Prime Super Mode/Transformers Galaxy Force Galaxy Convoy Super Mode), and Takara's got a new Optimus Prime on the way that is a *direct* repaint of the Kingdom Ultra Magnus core robot. As both hands on the figure are identical, Ultra Magnus can be posed holding the rifle in either hand and is the perfect size for such a chunky robot. I'm sure if Hasbro wanted to, they could have made that Siege Optimus cab work for Magnus - it's just plugging on armour to him after all.

A lot of toys could have got away without this feature but it is really needed for this version of Ultra Magnus. This G1-inspired toy converts into Earth armoured truck mode in 12 steps and comes with a blaster accessory. I do like the RID inspired alt mode for Siege Magnus and I like how the inner robot looks like Prime but there are also some differences.william-james88 wrote:Also, anyone else kinda sad that they didn,t stick to their initial ractonite design?

Siege Magnus didn't exactly wow me, and the vehicle mode on this new Kingdom figure leaves a lot to be desired IMO. Accessories: Classic G1-inspired blaster accessory, truck trailer can also be broken apart to armor up figure, Gold Disk card. We also see how good the inner bot can look when transformed properly, something we did not see before. The connectors on the sides of the trailer are moved forward compared to the Siege version, so it leaves a gap and leaves the front of the red at the top hanging as it can't connect to the bit on Magnus' back.

Im assuming the word "realistic" was meant as resembling what raptors looked like in jurassic Park as that's what was mentioned earlier. To transform them into the trailer, you need to snap together the shoulder pieces and slide them into the rear of the truck. The fists are particularly unsightly as they just stick out the back in full view, even with the trailer attached. Speaking of his feet, they're locked in a permanent A-stance, it's not me putting him in a pose that makes him look nice.
