As I rubbed it on, I worried about the slippery feel of it and thought it might feel oily on my skin. On the box, the product boasts that it is oil-free and contains vitamins A and E, grapeseed extract and green tea. I don’t know if you can see a difference in the photo above, but I don’t notice very much blurring when using this primer. If you missed the similarities in the name of the product, you only need to glance at the bottle of each primer to see where Aldi looked for inspiration. They both feel so smooth and silky on the skin, they’re so easy to apply and neither have a particularly strong smell to tell them apart.

The back of the tube also states that this is a clear formula that helps to create a smooth base to improve the look of foundation on the skin.I find it amusing the way that Lacura products are so obviously modelled on more expensive products. On the packaging Lacura claims that this Snapshot Ready Foundation Primer is a silky smooth primer that created the perfect canvas for make-up.

Once you squeeze the primer from the tube, it’s a clear gel which feels very slimey like a silicone-heavy primer (and the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer) does. They say: "Lacura is Aldi's exclusive brand that offers a wide range of products for individuals who want affordable quality skincare. The flaky areas were still flaky – but as my foundation dried it didn’t seem to look as bad as it usually does.
