I think it works well for the younger audience it's aimed at and will be a good book to promote as part of this years Summer Reading Challenge and to generate ideas for interactive walks.Covering both city and nature environments, every kid should find something familiar and something more to discover in the world around them.

However, it's a rather large book and a little bit awkward to reference if you're walking with little ones. Let's Go For a Walk Come take a walk with Ranger Hamza through his engaging story and colorful, cheerful illustrations by Kate Kronreif. It's also a great reminder to grown-ups to respect a child's natural instinct to move slowly, interact, and observe, even the most smallest details in their environment. We have had so many awesome comments about the music for our most recent CBeebies series ‘Let’s Go For A Walk’ and how it creates ‘moments of mindfulness’ within each episode.It then goes on to name some objects that could be present which is of that colour like ‘red leaves, red flowers, red car, red door, etc’ which give them little prompts of what they may see in their environment. Children will learn so much by joining Ranger and a small group of children, who have a talent for teaching while trekking. Showing how our surroundings change according to seasonality and time of day, or how any walk is full of sizes and shapes, numbers and letters, loud and quiet, this will be a great hit with any youngster who is curious about their surroundings. This is a great children's book, which has lovely graphics and easy to read text, which my daughter and I enjoyed reading.
