Ulasan lengkap bertajuk Temukan Makna Cinta dalam Love Is... Karya Puuung: http://bibliough.blogspot.co.id/2017/... I know this book gets quite a lot of criticism for what's seen as indulging in narcissism but any autobiography or memoir can be criticised for that by its very nature.

Perhaps the call for contributors came too soon after the shooting, so there was not time to reflect? Many of the stories are raw, and hurting. This life is what you make it. No matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you're going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they'll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, some go. The ones that stay with you through everything - they're your true best friends. Don't let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. And baby, I hate to say it, most of them - actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you can't give up because if you give up, you'll never find your soulmate. You'll never find that half who makes you whole and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about.”This story is full to the brim with acceptance, love, peace, and understanding. The text is deceptively simple, with the first half starting with a young boy in a rainbow heart shirt, who tells a friend that he has a problem, because other kids were laughing at his shirt. The tale proceeds through teasing, using "That's so gay" as an insult, the meaning of what is a "real family," same-sex parents, the hurt that comes with bullying, the importance of fairness, and being "different," - in a truly upbeat and common sense manner. The book offers some interesting ideas. I can’t relate to everything she says – her Catholicism and strong belief in that idea of the divine factors into many of the discussions – but I found a lot of value in her writing. It got me thinking about how I view myself and others, and where I can find strength. How strong are you, Maria Bello? Personally, I think you are the strongest Hollywood actress I have ever known. But I wonder if it's enough. Marston, George (19 December 2016). "JIM LEE Brings HARRY POTTER to Comic Books - With J.K. ROWLING's Blessing". Newsarama.

Everybody who knew my mom knew she was the mom everybody wanted. She always took everybody in with open arms. She loved everybody equally, no matter what.” Then comes the "Note From The Author," which is more extensive than the average, and really inspiring and self-reflective, and which gives readers more to think about, on an adult level. Michael Genhart certainly has a lifetime of important experience, both as a psychologist and a same-sex husband & father, and he shares his inspiration for writing this book, as well as a few personal experiences. From time to time the female's parents (one or both) are shown, both parents have light hair and are featured as being elderly. Reading about her family history was touching, particularly in light of her relationship with her father now. Love Is Love was for the most part a heartrending and hopeful tribute to the LGBTQIA+ community. And I'm more than appreciative of the contributors that participated in this collection.Molloy, Parker (20 December 2016). "J.K. Rowling approved the first-ever 'Harry Potter' comic — for a great reason". Upworthy. - Kang Chul, W: Two World. Boy, am I tired after reading this anthology. I gotta say, when I read that this book would "mourn the victims [of the Pulse shooting], examine love and celebrate the LGBTQ community," this is not what I imagined. Bodies of victims of the Pulse Shooting were depicted several times in fairly gory ways. This felt insensitive. It felt like she had a nice NY Times column and then maybe the publishers jumped on it for a longer work as they knew it would sell and I am sure it is.

I would love to rate this higher, but like all anthologies, and collections where people are contributing, there are some ups and downs. This anthology is for a very good cause, the victims of the nightclub shooting in Orlando. Just because I am rating it only three stars does not mean that I didn't rush out and buy it. It is important to support this sort of thing. The second half begins a celebration of love, families, gay community members and famous people, not feeling embarrassed or ashamed, and feeling special with any parents because you are loved. It's written in a very approachable style for kids, and in a relatable way for parents to share. It ends with this wonderful message: It just goes to show that we are comparatively spoiled by the wealth of wonderful new books with positive messages about rainbow families and LGBTQIA+ characters that I would even consider rating this as anything but a 5-star book. It certainly gets 5 stars for representation and positive messaging. I love the cover. And my 6 year old has asked to re-read it a few times. She jumps right in, with a section called ‘Am I a Partner?’, where she examines what it really does mean to be a partner – is it your spouse? Do you have to be having sex with someone to consider them a partner? Are we limited to just one? Other sections explore religion, feminism, and resiliency. Maria Bello dares to question everything. I believe that shows nothing but strength. The fact that she decided to share her journey into self-loving and self-understanding with the world? That’s courage. You see, we are all far from being perfect, we have all made mistakes and taken wrong turns at some point, and most of us are well and consciously aware of this. Still, when in social context, when amongst strangers, this is not something we proclaim. Why? For a thousand and different reasons. Maria Bello goes after those reasons, after those whys. Should we even be comparing ourselves to perfection? What does perfection even mean? What does it look like? Why do I have to be perfect? Do I want to be perfect? Do I feel comfortable with perfection? Should I?

Many of the stories featured in Love is Love revolve around LGBT-related relationships and discrimination, and they sometimes utilize pop culture icons such as Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Deathstroke, and Wonder Woman. One comic is about a superhero, Rainbow Boy, who uses his powers to fight "Doc Drumpf" and his armies of "Spider Haters". [15] Reception [ edit ] PFLAG is where my son and I started our journey, when he came out as transgender. This is a fantastic organization, with low-key meetings for parents of LGBTQ+ kids; LGBTQ+ children of younger ages; and separate meetings for LGBTQ+ teens & young adults. To share experiences, concerns, advice, advocate, and much more. This is very sweet, very raw, book. I’m not sure what I expected from it, but I’m happy that I bought it. I do like that she is a celebrity who is also a humanitarian - one who actually lives out that life. But alas, always a bit of self-absorption - she makes sure to tell us that her face only droops a bit . . . .
