Essentially, this technology is a ceramic blade. Traditional electric trimmers will carve you up like a Christmas goose if you get caught up in the underside, but ceramic blades are more gentle. You’ll be relieved to know that at no point did I ever consider taking a picture of my balls when I was done shaving to show you the final result (you’re welcome!) So I was happy to find that the Meridian’s battery held up quite well, even after going unplugged for a long time.

My only complaint is that, while the trimmer comes with a USB charging cord, it doesn’t come with an adapter that you can use to plug it into the wall.

The Meridian Trimmer does exactly that: the two dual-headed attachments make the process of downstairs grooming easy and fast. Plus, I can get harder to reach areas without cutting myself. That said, every electric shaver will cut your balls. That includes Meridian. That includes Manscaped. Both will cut your balls if you go all willy-nilly and rush through the job. While Meridian initially marketed their products specifically toward men, they expanded their focus a few years ago in an effort to be more inclusive.

This is a joke, of course, but I only get to write two testical-grooming articles a year and I deserve to have fun. THESE HINGES ARE NOT WATERPROOF. They have rusted and completely broken off and have cut me while trying to take them out of the shaver.Its ceramic blades aren’t as sharp as the stainless steel blades usually found on beard trimmers, which tend to provide a smoother, closer shave. So I was quite pleased when I discovered that Meridian’s claims about the comfort of ceramic blades are quite accurate.

You can use the Trimmer in-shower, but we recommend cleaning and drying it thoroughly after each use to extend its longevity and maintain its performance. Kindly note that rust issues usually happen when trimmer devices do not get cleaned accordingly. I’ve been leaving my Trimmer in the shower and it’s helped me a lot with regular upkeep. The Ball Spray helps a lot with irritation, too. I won’t be using it as a “mid-day refresher” like some brands tout their ball-sprays. Frankly, there’s no replacing a good old-fashioned shower after hitting the gym.

Overall, I gave it an average rating of 4.5 stars, and highly recommend it. Is Meridian better than Manscaped? As any freshman boy in high school can tell you, rubbing aftershave on your balls is an option—it’s just not a good one. But with my new trimmer I was able to avoid this problem, because the Meridian shaved to what turned out to be damn near the perfect length:
