I wanted mystery and amateur detective work by Sarah and plot twists and yes, fine, I wanted ghosts! A wonderful love story - achingly sexy, modern, heart-breaking - with the most fantastic twist -- Eve Chase, author of The Vanishing of Audrey Wilde I liked the premise of the book and it did get me excited for like 4 chapters. I was interested in those 4 chapters! I didn’t get all the feels, but I had a few here and there.

The main theme in the book was grief and Walsh explores this in a subtle way as most of the plot is focused on Eddie’s whereabouts. I do think this layered narrative allows the reader to invest themselves in different aspects of the plot, and I suppose that could give it a more wide-reaching appeal. All in all however, this book just didn’t grip me. An incommunicable thing, I just wanted something more from this book which it unfortunately did not deliver. As characters, Sarah and Eddie were fine, and the storytelling was clever and unpredictable, and yet, I didn’t walk away from this book feeling much at all. And I think the fact that it didn’t evoke much emotion in me is telling in this review, as I don’t have much to say about the book in general.

The novel is well-crafted and engaging, the characters are likable. Overall, I enjoyed it and recommend it to readers. Fast-paced, eerie, and surprisingly profound. . . Walsh pairs a plot worthy of Ruth Ware with a Bridget Jones–esque cast for a mystery that ends with fireworks.” I'll be honest and say that this book has left me feeling conflicted. The concept of "ghosting" intrigued me but Ghosted ended up being something other than what I expected. A completely gripping story that makes your heart ache and eyebrows raise at the twists and turns Rosie Walsh expertly throws at you * Bookends and Blurbs * Really well! she responded, with the sort of speed that’s achievable only if you’re staring at your phone. I’ve spent the last four days at his flat! He’s given me a key! He’s told me he loves me!

The Man Who Didn't Call - UK title or Ghosted - US title -has published in 35 languages. I still can't believe it!

On a personal note, I enjoyed this book immensely. It read at a good pace, I enjoyed the characters, and it was different and intriguing. Before Ghosted, I was not familiar with “ghosting”. So this was something totally new to me. And there was a particular part that completely made my jaw drop. It was definitely a “Gotcha!” moment. This book really pulled one over on me! Thank you so much to Edelweiss, Pamela Dorman Books / Penguin Publishing Group and Rosie Walsh for the opportunity to read and review an advanced copy of this book.

A gripping romance about a whirlwind love affair gone wrong, with a blinder of a twist * Good Housekeeping *Ghosted is the immersive, beguiling story of Sarah, a woman who spends seven wondrous days with the man of her dreams only to be devastated, mystified, and tormented with the question why when he seemingly disappears, and his promised call never arrives. Walsh has created a deeply moving romance with an intriguing mystery and a touching portrait of grief at its heart. . . a romantic, sad, and ultimately hopeful book that’s perfect for fans of Jojo Moyes.” Never have I been more tempted to skip to the end of a book because I was SO desperate to find out why he hadn't called . . . This book is the very definition of unputdownable -- Jill Mansell, author of The One You Really Want and Maybe This Time We were a matter of mere miles from where I’d met him. I closed my eyes, trying to remember my walk that hot morning. Those uncomplicated few hours Before Eddie. The sour-milk sweetness of elderflower blossom. Yes, and scorched grass. The drift of butterflies, stunned by the heat. There had been a barley field; a feathered, husk-green carpet panting and bulging with hot air. The occasional explosion of a startled rabbit. And the strange sense of expectation that had hovered over the village that day, the boiling stillness; the littered secrets. Later on we do find out why the BOY ghosted the GIRL and we get a better idea of the who, what, when, where, why, and how of the situation. I will say that after I found out the who, what, when, where, why, and how, I started to lose interest. . . again.

Walsh has a good ear for dialogue, and the mystery behind Eddie’s disappearance is a particularly satisfying one.” A cleverly plotted romantic thriller filled with scandalous twists and turns and a juicy central mystery, Ghosted proves impossible to put down. . . Deliciously addictive, surprising and sentimental, Ghosted is a must-read for fans of Liane Moriarty and Jojo Moyes.” This was another extremely compulsive read for me as I was emotionally invested and gripped right from the beginning which followed through to that extremely touching and stunning conclusion. Would highly recommend! Ghosted is an intricate puzzle of a novel, beautifully crafted and deeply moving. Rosie Walsh’s depiction of love in all its forms is equal parts heartbreaking and heartwarming; I was engrossed until the final poignant moment.” But what I do believe in, wholeheartedly, is risk-taking. I was willing to take a big risk when I met my partner, and I believe completely in Sarah when she takes a big risk with Eddie. Because that readiness to put ourselves in emotional danger is what makes love exhilarating and beautiful, for me – it has nothing to do with some sense of destiny as your eyes meet those of a stranger’s across a room.Incredibly crafted, huge depth, amazing characters and beautiful prose. I loved it -- Cesca Major, author of The Last Night and The Silent Hours I've been trying to digest my thoughts and I truly just didn't care for the story. And I really hate that I didn't because I wanted SO BADLY to love it.
