Both admitted to drugs charges but Olaleye avoided a stint inside, instead receiving a sentence of one year and 11 months for supplying cocaine, suspended for a year and a half. Meanwhile Michaels will serve three years and nine months imprisonment for supplying cocaine and MDMA. Later that month on Wednesday, September 25, police had enough evidence to execute a warrant at Sheila Mason’s house, aka ‘grandma’, in Droyslden. Some cases have built-in timed events that will trigger at certain points in the investigation to introduce some new aspect and put everything you already know in a new context. I really liked that, especially how talking to characters about another character or a piece of evidence would change wildly before and after such an event. Susan Hirst, defending, said Rafizadeh continues to deny the offences and said he had no previous convictions. She said he was born and raised in Iran. He became involved in political demonstrations and had to flee the country.

Newcastle Crown Court heard he tried to get her to retract an earlier statement to police by saying he would petrol bomb the houses of those closest to her while making the vile threats about the dog and saying he would behead the woman. This is all handled via QR codes. For example, to head to a location you simply scan that locations QR code. Want to speak to someone there? Scan their card. Want to then ask them about the fingerprints left at a scene? Scan the relevant evidence. It’s a simple but elegant system that sees the app intelligently translate the scanned items into relevance - scan a footprint and you will ask people their shoe size for example. And it’s amazing when a character from a Vision from the start of the game suddenly shows up and you know there is a connection but you still have to find out which pieces of evidence will get them to tell you. We love that Chronicles of Crime 1900’s aesthetic was consistent with a Victorian-era art style. It’s pretty, painted and has a lovely elegance to it without removing the grime and grit of the character’s faces. Also, it puts all characters in a style reminiscent of the era’s fashion. Houses and people fit the bill of being both from their social class, but also their era. The opportunity to investigate the crime scene often takes two looks as the first time you’ll be basking in the beauty of the architecture and visuals. The factories, art studios and mansions of these colourful folk tell lots of stories to give hidden details and prominent clues as to their misdeeds. Nothing escapes an eagle-eyed reporter, but that won’t stop you from gawping at the gorgeously furnished boudoirs of the A-listers of ye olde Paris! It Takes Two, Baby! The cases in Welcome to Redview are very different to the other Chronicles of Crime cases that you may have played so far. In Welcome to Redview, each player gets to play as their own character. Each of these characters has three skills: Fitness, Speech, and Mind. This is all still done using the app and scanning QR codes to gather clues and interrogate suspects. The biggest change to the game other than theme is the added use of dice. Someone else can have a go too, but everything in this game costs time, and time is important with the chief cop demanding you get answers by certain deadlines. Interviews take place by scanning the QR code of characters, you can then ask them about other characters and items by scanning the relevant codes, and moving around the city is done in the same fashion. When you are ready the app will ask you a series of questions to ascertain whether you have solved the case with the correct reasoning or not, and then gives you a score based on this. You are Victor Lavel, a young ambitious journalist working for a major newspaper. It's the year 1900, the middle of the Belle epoque, and Paris flourishes. There are so many stories to cover, the Exposition Universelle, the Summer Olympics, the opening of the first metro station, but as a Lavel, a family famous for solving crimes since the Middle Ages, you are much more interested in murders, kidnappings, and robberies. Being a journalist helps you be among the first ones to know about them, and your wits often make you the first one to find the perpetrator.” The entire game of Chronicles of Crime: 1900 is in the app. Once you’ve installed it and started the scenario you want to play (four scenarios are included at the time of writing), the app takes control. It’ll tell you to place a location card and some people cards, tell you who the people are, and what’s happening in the story you find yourself dropped into. A look at what you get in the box

The court heard Ali, who was 21 at the time, has never been in trouble before and is an “intelligent man” Read More Related ArticlesThere’s a tiny nagging part of my brain which is telling me “You’re not better at solving mysteries, this game is just easier than the previous ones”, but you know what? Screw that part of my brain. I had fun playing 1900. I solved mysteries and the game made me feel clever. Sure, in one case three different people told me I should speak to the police about a particular thing, but that’s precisely what I meant above. It’s much more difficult to miss something important. The game made me feel clever, and that’s what a good mystery game should do. Not batter you over the head with your own stupidity.

Tail – This involves following someone which can blow a case wide open, but does also take up a lot of time, which as you know from the base game is limited. Two PCs caught up with May as he staggered along the town's Fowler Street. David Povall, prosecuting, told Newcastle Crown Court : "They approached him from behind and told him to stand still and show his hands and that they were armed with tasers.Chronicles of Crime: Noir is an expansion for the amazing cooperative detective game Chronicles of Crime. She managed to run away to a friend’s home, but when she returned to her own house hours later she was confronted once again by Carr, who had managed to get into the property.
