Digital showers, or smart showers as they are sometimes referred to, work similarly to mixer showers taking water from your hot and cold supplies and combining them to create your ideal temperature. The main difference bewteen these shower types is the digital shower controller, enabling far more precise temperature setting. The thermostatic technology inside the digital shower mixer valve helps to control your shower temperature and keep it constant, which means that any other water usage in the house (kitchen taps, flushing the toilet etc.) won’t affect the temperature of your shower, for added safety. Digital showers have many smart features including (depending on the model) smartphone app control, customisable temperature presets, and a warm-up mode.
