About this deal

Andy specialises in positive psychology and the science of human flourishing. The reward for grinding out his Loughborough PhD is that he gets to call himself a Dr of Happiness. THE ART OF BEING BRILLIANT is your competitive advantage. In plain simple English, we want this to be the best training you have ever had. Whisper it quietly, but it might even change your life? Our approach

Andy has been described as a ‘wellbeing revolutionary’. His mission is to change the narrative and re-focus psychology away from what’s wrong with people to what’s right. His messages act as a gentle nudge towards people taking charge of their own mental health.Fantastic such a brilliant presentation!’…’Inspiring and passionate!’…’Outstanding!’…’Inspirational and humorous!’ a massive thank you for yesterday. I laughed, cried, thought and was inspired. I will be passing on your details to the headteachers in our area and local authority. I think it was also one of the few times that I stood up at the end of the course- and I have been in education 30 years!’ Our brilliant podcasts feature some fantastic guests as well as different members of our brilliant team. They are ideal to help you you get away from that "Urrgh, how is it Monday already" feeling? Personally, professionally, individually, collectively: it sometimes feels like we’re going through the motions. Human beings are built for performance but programmed for efficiency. If we’re not careful, life lapses into the routine. We do what we’ve always done and subsequently perennially underachieve.

People love Andy’s simplicity and humour. His keynote themes of wellbeing, leadership, resilience and change resonate with audiences around the world. I met people from all walks of life, from HR and L&D professionals to bakers, teachers and dentists, there was even a father and son there, all armed with pens and open minds! Darrell has immersed himself in the ‘brilliant’ philosophy and is now a boffin in areas of positivity, happiness, wellbeing and flourishing… well he now has an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology, which makes him sound like a boffin! The Art of Being Brilliant’ provides an antidote to the crazy world that typifies modern Britain. This workshop uses cutting edge research to explore how you can be you, brilliantly. The aim is to share some of the ‘secrets’ of Positive Psychology, focusing on learning new habits of thinking and behaviour that will sustain personal ‘brilliance’. It is about the ‘whole you’ and, as such, is applicable in and out of work.

Change has always happened, but recently it’s got a whole lot faster and when life is rattling along at this speed, we need to be more psychologically resilient and adaptive than ever.We live in a manic society where most people’s lives are on permanent fast-forward. The modern workplace is typified by a never-ending regime of restructures and budget cuts. Uncertainty prevails. Customer expectations are rising. Legislation is tightening. You are probably going to be audited or inspected one day soon. Outside of work there are family pressures. And society. And the traffic. Oh, and don’t forget the weather! THE ART OF BEING BRILLIANT is grounded in the real world. The truth is simple – when the world’s doing its worst it’s even more important that we know how to be at our best.

Result, I had both!! They had already got me with their unique and funky communication, and I was feeling just a tiny bit excited. Will is a fine orator, and creative and winning presenter, who can turn his hand to a wide range of improvement situations…’ Great teachers like Will Hussey understand the technical dimensions of delivering a curriculum but also know that this is only part of the story. I have admired the way he brings out the best in children.’
