About this deal

I don't mind a dual POV, but one of the chapters switched POVs in the middle with no warning and I was very confused.

Adorable! That's not necessarily what you would associate a vampire book with, but here we are. Aaron is such a golden retriever and I adore him and I need more male leads like him. kimberly burns is a strong-willed and independent character, contrasting aaron calem, who’s super positive and full of excitement. i think they had great chemistry and a respectful relationship. they’re both very protective over each other and always try to be truthful with one another (which i really appreciated). The world building in this book is absolutely phenomenal. At first, I was slightly confused, but that has nothing to do with the way it is written. The love between friends is a kind of blood connection – invisible, yet deeply felt and unbreakable.” If you could give a shout out to someone(s) who has helped in your writer journey, please feel free to mention them below! And that’s the only reason I haven’t killed you yet. Now unless you want to be plagued with filthy thoughts about me, witch, I suggest you turn around so I can dress. It’s your turn to bathe—you stink.”

Family is the circle of people who nurture your soul, lift your spirits, and make your heart feel at home.”

I also wasn’t tethered to you with your dirty spell,” I hiss. “And unless you want to be tested with less than pious thoughts about me, I suggest you turn around.” Family is a mix of souls who inspire you, challenge you, and uplift you – regardless of biological ties.” The characters are just painstakingly dull. I understand that the author was going for a "respectful" play on vampires, but there was a way to do that without making them lifeless. (pun intended) The main character was also just as dull as the rest of them. The plot had sort of a mystery thing going on, which could have worked except the author was transparent the entire time. Anyone with any semblance of critical thinking skills could have figured out who our villain was, and why he was targeting them. The strongest family ties are often the ones woven through friendships, compassion, and shared moments.”

He sidesteps the assaulting water with ease and crosses his arms against his chest. “The last time I lost sight of you, you made me chase you half the day. I’m not in the hunting mood tonight, witch.”Romance? No. If you want a slow burn that burns so slow you don't get a kiss - even in the epilogue - then sure. But there is no actual romance or love in this story. She grabs his wrist and that's about it. Even their final "proclamation" of love is FILLED with the word "hypothetical," and I mean that literally.
