Description

This is a review of the entire 14 volumes of Tokyo Ghoul (NOT including Tokyo Ghoul:re), so I'll be reviewing the series as a whole and not each volume individually. Sometimes good people make bad choices. It doesn't mean they are bad people. It means they're human Ken is the dragon. The city is systematically being destroyed and everyone is mobilizing, trying to figure out what to do. How do they stop this ghoul monster? That is the central question in this volume. Different parties work on methods even as the CCG and the ghouls make a big decision about their future.

My favorite character: Kaneki Ken. Shy, bookworm, kind, considerate, brave, lonely, tragic hero. The best part of this story was the difficulties Kaneki went through and him slowly being crazy and sometimes cruel. The best character change I have seen.

Tokyo Ghoul:re, the sequel to Tokyo Ghoul, was serialised in Weekly Young Jump from October 16, 2014 to July 5, 2018, and has been released from December 2014 to July 2018 in 16 tankōbon volumes. [11] [12] Viz released the first English volume on October 17, 2017. [13] Tokyo Ghoul [ edit ] No.

At the end of the day, I did enjoy this one. It was really neat to read and the art is great. It is a mature manga (if the cannibalism didn't clue you in), so just be warned about that. I read a story that was rich and complicated, extremely creepy and gory, breath-taking, perfect for Halloween, heart-stopping and extremely fast-pacing. I read a story about a boy who thought he could protect anyone, and about a world where the definitions of human and monster were blurry and unclear.

Table of Contents

In the sequel series to Tokyo Ghoul, Haise Sasaki has been tasked with teaching his special squad of half-ghouls how to be outstanding Investigators, but this is complicated by the troublesome personalities of his subordinates and his own uncertain grasp of his Ghoul powers. Will he and the members of his squad become heroes or monsters, taken out by the other squads in the Commission of Counter Ghoul...?! Eto Yoshimura (aka Ten Takatsuki) being the ONE-EYED OWL. I mean WTF?! Where did this come from?! I know in the previous volume it was mentioned that the one-eyed owl might be related to Mr. Yoshimura buuuut...did we ever find out that he had a daughter? And why her? I mean...it could have been ANYBODY. I just wasn't expecting that... reunited and it feels so good~~ omg i love seeing the three of them together (Hide, Akira and Amon)

Chapter 153 → ◙ I knew it would end up like this. Of course, the final 'battle' would be between the Qs. What happened to Dr. Kanou and the Aogiri Tree? Why were they experimenting on humans? Are they still experimenting on humans and ghouls? Kaneki is more of a savage now that he beat the shit out of Jason and accepted his ghoul-ness. Reading the fight with him and Touka's brother was... Quite an experience. I will say that this series does have a few really great scenes or areas of interest that just happen off screen - which annoyed me. There were moments that were skipped by that I would've LOVED to see drawn out.

It was a long time ago when I started reading Tokyo Ghoul, but since then, I lived an experience of multiple emotions, and lost myself into a world that was like a dice, with so many different sides and possibilities. i have no idea who these people are (always fun when I take several month break between volumes and don't understand shit)
