Villains frequently accompany these superhero sanctuaries and two such minifigures appear here. Venom has remained unaltered since 2019 and seems suitably fearsome, featuring an intimidating head with bared teeth. The torso design is comparatively simple but matches the character's traditional comic appearance and I see little justification for alterations. The other figures are alright, obviously one new one but similarly to above, the printing isn't particularly good. An ideal birthday, holiday or just-because gift for Marvel movie fans aged 8 and up who want to stand out from the crowd with the premier LEGO® set Spider-Man’s HQ. LEGO components are dropped, heated, crushed, twisted and analyzed to make sure they fulfill rigorous global safety standards.

The classic Iron Spider suit has appeared in various Marvel Super Heroes sets, although this example remains unchanged from 76151 Venomosaurus Ambush. The intricate armour design and metallic gold decoration looks splendid, especially with the supplementary articulated arms. However, the decoration does not continue on the legs and I would have favoured another new Spider-Man variant to replace this one. As far as the physical lair goes, the Armoury and Supercomputer are parts of this set I see many AFOLs potentially blowing up to a greater size and expanding upon, whereas other sections, like the prison, leaves much to be desired and most likely will be discarded to the collection. As the Goblin-glider is foot-and-balance controlled in the comics, I have no complaints about there not being any obvious control surfaces for the Green Goblin minifigure to operate. I’m also happy to see a “classic” version of these designs, rather than going with any of the live-action versions. The price is absolutely disgusting and the only reason I got it is because (I had Birthday Vouchers and) the Stealth/Big Time Suit (no idea why they are calling it Ultimate Spider-Man) is my favourite Spider-Man costume of all time, so I am absolutely DELIGHTED to have this figure, and indeed a pretty good version at that. A little arm printing would have really set it off, but other than that it's perfect. Green Goblin is almost invariably accompanied by his Goblin Glider, the design of which has changed frequently. This example is relatively large and features angular wings, supported by rigid A-frame elements underneath. The resulting shape seems fittingly intimidating, especially in combination with the 2x3 pentagonal tile at the centre which displays decorative yellow eyes. Surrounding the lair are Spider-Man’s work tools, as well as a rather admittedly flimsy attempt at a stand for the Iron Spider’s spider arms. I’m not sure what the thought process was here for these stands, maybe so they can be laid down when not in use? It certainly feels cheap though.

All LEGO Marvel Spider-Man playsets are cool and collectible and give kids the chance to relive favorite superhero movie moments and create imaginative stories of their own. OK, we get it, Venom is a Spider-Man villain...there are a PLETHORA of others though, LEGO, yeah...I’m talking to you, don’t you think we’ve had enough Venom figures by now? Maybe throw us Marvel Superfans something else? All LEGO® Marvel Spider-Man playsets are cool and collectible and give kids the chance to relive favorite superhero movie moments and create imaginative stories of their own.

Encourage roleplay and spark imaginations with LEGO playsets

To add insult to injury, one of the monitors makes a reference to the Super Fantastic Four Costume (perhaps better known as The Bombastic Bagman), a disguise Peter Parker was forced to don after Reed Richards (or Mr. Fantastic) separated him from the alien symbiote, leaving him to swing home without a costume. A physical version of that outfit would have been a perfect addition here, and giving us our first and only Fantastic Four costume as part of a different character sounds exactly like the kind of frustrating thing the LEGO Group would do anyway. Moving on to the middle of the lair, Spider-Man has his supercomputer where he can sit down and surf….the WEB. Even superheroes need to chill-out in their room sometimes. But only Spider-Man could have a room like this! With a computer, PlayStation, basketball hoop with ball shooter, skateboard with ramp, and a drinks area, it's the ultimate teenage den. But it's much more than that. It’s also the ultimate superhero headquarters, with Peter Parker´s camera, training equipment, motorbike, Iron Spider Suit, weapons and even its own jail – all of which come in very handy when the evil super villains Green Goblin and Venom force their way inside.

The rest of the lair makes use of a standard “pod” build. The design is modular, and thus easily expandable if you wanted to create a bigger custom display. Young superheroes join Spider-Man playing games in his HQ. When 2 super villains force their way in, it's time for battle. Kids must use the amazing equipment and their own skills to save the day. LEGO® components satisfy stringent industry standards to ensure they are consistent, compatible and connect and pull apart correctly every time – it's been that way since 1958.However, I think this computer could have been further separated from Batcomputer designs, simply by adjusting the screen arrangement. This configuration seems extremely familiar and Spider-Man deserved something tailored more specifically to him. The seat seems very basic too, although some appealing details are present. Peter Parker's camera and the video game controller are particularly fun. On the plus side, this figure has some interesting decor. It’s a striking costume design that carries over well into LEGO form. For children aged 3 and over there are also LEGO Friends. Join Aliya, Autumn, Leo, Zac, Nova, Paisley, Olly and Liann and explore new interests with exciting new expeditions! There's a variety of characters, playsets, and settings that inspire learning through imaginative role-playing. LEGO for the experienced builder… He is a bigtime Spiderman villain. Daredevil as well, but that’s what you get when you both operate in NYC. He is one of the most important crime bosses overthere. Spiderman did team-up with Daredevil too to fight the crimebosses and the gangster wars were among the coolest stories with a lot of team-ups and villains.
