Bigger is apparently better when it comes to Samsung’s TV screen sizes as it has launched the Q80C model in a whopping 98-inch screen size. So it turns out Mini-LED isn’t only for the very well-heeled. The QN85A isn’t flawless in the way it performs, but it’s mighty close – and those of us who have them should be ready to be disabused of our LCD preconceptions. Alternativy Samsung QN90A is supported across all across all its HDMI 2.1 inputs (which is impressive), and gaming features look to be similar if not an exact match. The stand is bigger, so perhaps consider planting the Q80C on wider pieces of AV furniture, and you get a smaller 50-inch size too.
First and foremost, this is a 4K HDR TV – but, it’s important to remember, it’s a Samsung. That means it goes without Dolby Vision HDR, which is no less irritating here than on any other Samsung TV. Absence sometimes makes the heart grow fonder, but in this instance it just makes the heart bloody annoyed. Samsung is a big believer in offering a wide portfolio of TVs for any customer, and the 2023 range offers their most bumper range of options yet. Overall detail levels are extremely high, which only adds to the lifelike impression of the Samsung’s pictures. Edge definition is generally smooth, and when it’s required there’s a persuasive suggestion of depth of field available, too.

Tato tv vás může strašlivě zklamat, ale také úžasně překvapit. Jak je to možné? Strašně záleží na dvou věcech. Tou první je cena. Pokud tuto tv koupíte za více než za 25 000 Kč, tak jste za mě udělali chybu (nebo vůbec neřešíte peníze). Jako nová při uvedení na trh stála 50 000 Kč což byl naprostý úlet. Její cena však spadla extrémně rychle, mnohem rychleji než jsem čekal. A bude padat dále. A když se dostane na úroveň 20 000 Kč či méně, tak nebude mít mnoho konkurence. Jakto? I když se jedná o IPS panel, tak miniLED a velký počet zón lokálního tlumení tento nedostatek do jisté míry kompenzuje. A výsledná černá je slušná. A 100 Hz 55 palců velká televize s dobrým obrazem pod 20 000 Kč je vždy dobrá volba. Digitální vylepšení ostrosti obrazu, obecně doporučuji nezapínat. Jen v případě, že sledujete hodně videa v nízké kvalitě.

About the only area where the QN85A doesn’t excel is motion control. The Manchester City-based content is filled with instances of rapid, complex on-screen movement, and when the going gets especially trying, the Samsung can give away how hard it’s working. Some minor edge-shimmer is the most common tell-tale, with ghosting and image-doubling so rare as to be negligible. The Micro LED series stretches from 50- to 140-inches, though this screen is not bound by size or shape as it is modular, so it can be made as big or as small as your set-up requires. No mention of price for either the Micro LED or QD-OLED TVs, but we’ll find out closer to launch. Upgraded Gaming Hub Co je velmi důležité, že se jedná o 100 Hz IPS panel. Samotný počet zón je však jen jedním z několika faktorů, které určují kvalitu lokálního tlumení. Samy o sobě mají IPS panely kontrast okolo 1 000 : 1 . QN85A má s lokálním tlumením cca 6 000 : 1. Dost ale záleží na typu scény, k tomu se ještě dostanu.It's a little cheap of Samsung to only include one HDMI 2.1 port, when the cheaper Sony X90J offers two, and the LG C1 includes four. But at least it's there. Two full-range drivers at the top of the frame, and another two at the bottom, powered by 60 watts of amplification and designed to offer a degree of synchronicity between on-screen movement and audio placement, looks admirable when written down. In practice, though, the Samsung is a rather boneless listen—it’s not actively unpleasant, and it doesn’t get too shouty at volume, but there’s a bluntness about the sound it makes that’s quite strongly at odds with its images.
