Each one legit smells like something Britney (or the idea of Britney) would wear. Only Jennifer Lopez can compete with Brit-Brit’s total dominance of the fragrance world, but J.Lo doesn’t have a song called “Perfume,” does she? Opening notes of Curious Eau de Parfumbegin with heady lotus, soft pear, and creamy magnolia. As the heart notes of tuberose, cyclamen, and jasmine bloom, this scent takes on an almost sparkling persona. Upon dry-down, a well-balanced base of sensual musk, vanilla and woody notes add a finishing touch of nostalgia.

The Naughty and Nice Remix are the only fragrances in the Fantasy line not to follow the traditional shape of the fragrance, but rather use a more slimmer and taller model. As one of the earliest Britney Spears perfumes, Fantasy Eau de Parfumwas launched in 2005. Blended by perfumer James Kriva, it was intended to represent a sultry love potion. Midnight Fantasy Eau de Parfumwas launched in 2006 as a floral, fruity, and somewhat darker iteration of the original Fantasy. The bottle, which is available in 30, 50 and 100 ml, is deep cherry red with pink crystals "symbolizing love, femininity and warmth" like the previous two. VIP Private Showis, like its predecessor, a sweet, almost edible fragrance. I feel this is pretty much an any-season fragrance that leans more to daytime casual. Fantasyopens with sweet kiwi, red litchi, and juicy quince to give a fresh, fruity edge. A heart of white chocolate, cupcake, orchid, and jasmine come into their own. This edible heart is supported by a base of musk, woody notes, and orris root which prevent the fragrance from becoming overwhelmingly sweet. Circus Fantasy is Spears' (and Elizabeth Arden's) first fragrance to be created specifically for an artist's album ( Circus in this case). The royal blue version of the original bottle is stunning; it hovers between gem-like and almost candy-esque in appearance.Sillage and projection are moderate, yet Curioushas fairly impressive staying power. You can expect 5+ hours of wear before needing to reapply. While Toxic is absolutely my go-to karaoke hit, whatever the mood of the night, it's Britney's perfumes that undoubedtly take up the largest spot in my heart. Perhaps because Fantasy - in all its pink bejewelled glory - was the first fragrance I ever owned.

As for when to wear, Believe Eau de Parfumis the perfect daytime fragrance for the changeover seasons of spring and autumn when the cooler temperatures bring out its floral-fruity side.
