About this deal

Fantasy Friends: Under the Sea is a cute virtual pet game for young children. It’s the second installment in the Fantasy Friends franchise and is the first pet-caring game featuring magical underwater creatures. Explore the plaza, add decorations, get new magical sea creatures, buy them new clothes or even cooler toys to play with, and decorate the plaza with incredible fun items! If you were wondering about features, yes, Fantasy Friends – Under the Sea has the same features as the old one! – From a cute dogfish to a surprising frog, discover 12 incredible aquatic creatures you will love to cuddle and play with. Each animal needs a specific food you will have to produce. As soon as they hatch, all of them will need your attention. You start with some basic creatures, which will evolve into more complicated sea-critters, which my daughter all called dog and cat (even though they were clearly not). Another nice improvement I noticed is that the mini-games are more entertaining than the first game. I wouldn’t necessarily say they are fun, but they aren’t painfully boring either.

Decorate the forest in your own style with beautiful buildings, plants, and magical objects! Some of them may suprise you.Just like in the first game, they each live in their own house and have a game that they like best. Sadly, most of these games are rehashed from the base game and feeding/playing/taking care of them still feels dull. And yes, this version also challenges you to collect hundreds of colors and skins for your pets and challenge your friends to see who will have the most unique creatures. Be the first to find the rarest ones since you’ll be the only one playing with them. But hey, you can always put on the game as a screensaver, instead of an aquarium or fireplace.

The game takes place in a gorgeous fantasy forest where anything is possible! With the help of Aurea, the magic fairy, you will care for 12 adorable new pet friends! Take care of them and make sure you give them all the love they need. If you do, your pets will grow up and play with you! The more you care for them, keeping them happy and healthy, the more mana you will earn. Use your mana to get new creatures, buy them new clothes or even cooler toys to play with, and decorate the forest with incredible fun items! Whilst we will do everything we can to meet the delivery times above, there may be factors outside of our control and we cannot guarantee delivery within this time frame. From a cute dogfish to a surprising axolotl, discover 12 incredible aquatic creatures you will love to cuddle and play with. Each animal needs a specific food you will have to produce. Fantasy Friends: Under the Sea feels more polished, and the overall design is nicer compared to the first Fantasy Friends. But unfortunately, I was not impressed with this game since it’s a cheap rehashing of the first one. I had high expectations for Fantasy Friends: Under the Sea because it is really cute and visually pleasing. There were a few improvements here and there, but not enough for me to recommend this game to anyone, especially at its price range. Though if it’s on sale for less than ten dollars, I’d definitely recommend getting this version over the first one.

First up, the reviewer of this title from Xaloc Studiosand Just For Games, is predominantly my three year old, but she left the writing to me. Sitting on my lap while I occasionally helped with the analogue controls, she’s been switching between this and Astro’s Playroomfor about a week now and loves it. Little digits will need to stroke the on-screen eggs for them to hatch, revealing a pet. The first one, which I’m assuming is across the board for all players and not random, was a kitten. An easy option as kids will either like kittens or puppies. You’re able to create a new home for this fantasy friend, but first, you need to name them. Her first friend was Candy, and initially, you can feed, pet and groom the animal, paying attention to the gauges on-screen that with the pet’s status, i.e. whether they’re hungry or bored, etc.

Each time we load the game, the animals go all puppy-eyed as if we’ve forgotten about them; their gauges looking bleak. However, the sheer satisfaction of watching my daughter learning her responsibilities, albeit fun ones, was brilliant – especially as she had so much fun with things us older gamers would overlook. Ever keen to take new talent under my wing, my daughter (the same one from the first Fantasy Friendsreview) was the chief appraiser of the game but didn’t (couldn’t) want to write a review. Once again, I make no hesitation in saying this was solely for my her, still four, and that’s the market you should be looking at. Unless you genuinely want Sebastian as your bestie. Each animal needs a specific food you'll have to produce. They each live in their own house and have an original game that they like best. Have fun while getting to know them all. Fantasy Friends – Under the Sea takes place in a gorgeous fantasy ocean where anything is possible, or at least that’s what they promise… With the help of Aurea, the magic mermaid (instead of fairy), you will care for twelve adorable new pet friends! Take care of them and make sure you give them all the love they need. If you do, your pets will grow up and play with you!

Immediately after hatching, the little critters in Fantasy Friends Under The Seaneed to eat – initially a baby bottle until they evolve, a wash (under the sea) and then some love. You can say what you like, but they can’t hear you, so you have to show your love by petting, then entertaining them with one of the many mini-games.

Fantasy Friends Under The Seais quite slow-moving, but that’s due to the type of player that will lap this up. There are no game overs or storylines – simply take care of your new found friends and ensure they’re content. As I said for the first game, this teaches children how to be consistent and take responsibility – yes, yes, it’s a game, but the fundamental parts are encouraging, and I saw a difference with her attention to our dog when she played the first game.
