The G.O.A.T. Boat is NBA 2K23’s online neighborhood for current-gen users. In case you don’t know, the neighborhood is the online feature connected to MyCAREER that allows you to upgrade your player in various ways and immerse yourself in several engaging online modes as well. All aboard! NBA 2K23 is ready to set sail on Current Gen consoles, and you don’t want to miss your chance to stay on this year’s luxury cruise liner. Last year, NBA 2K22 introduced an all-new Neighborhood, taking place on the Cancha Del Mar. The vessel sailed through uncharted waters, taking you and fellow hoopers on scenic excursions and hosting whale-sized events. The Neighborhood will once again call a luxury liner home in NBA 2K23, but the Cancha Del Mar has been replaced by The G.O.A.T. Boat. Here’s a look at the two main protagonists, Jane Foster as Mighty Thor, and Thor Odinson in his snazzy new blue and gold suit.

As mentioned there’s plenty of space on The Goat Boat – all 5 minifigures can comfortably fit, with plenty of other room for activities. I really like the latest version as she looks so badass with her armour, and her hairpiece is a much more accurate reflection of Tessa’s on-screen character. Here’s a look at the two goats, who are based on Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr, goatswho pull the chariot of the godThorin Norse mythology. Her winged helm is excellent, and I love it when LEGO fuse hair into helmets. I do think her hair colour is a touch too blonde, and should be slightly darker, but that’s a minor thing. Valkyrie is a nice addition to any Minifigure collection with her all-new printed Asgardian armor, head piece, and hair mold. She’s got a blue cap and a roman sword as accesories.

Minifigures

Longships were designed for relatively short voyages, so enclosed cabins were unnecessary. Even so, this structure matches the aesthetic associated with Viking architecture and features crossed bargeboards. The dark red stripes on the walls look brilliant too, while the combination of tiles and plates across the roof provide satisfying texture. The ship’s build is sturdy and attractive. Its design is heavily reliant on the studs-not-on-top technique, and both sides of the boat are held on by plates attached to horizontal studs, as well as the dragon heads at the front of the ship. Four trans-light blue thrusters underneath the hull further demonstrate the Asgardian influence on this vessel, although these are fairly subtle. Perhaps more interesting is how 3x4x3 curved panels create the bulging hull shape which characterises longships. These parts are attached between clips and the 3x8x2 shells fitted on both sides, ensuring great strength and curvature. Keepability [4]– This is a really great Marvel set, and if Thor Love and Thunder becomes a smash hit, this set will age very well

is a great year for Viking fans, as together with the Creator 3-in-1 Viking Ship, we’re getting 2 respectable longships in a year. Really like how they constantly switch his minifigure design up and avoid recycling him ever, which is quite refreshing for LEGO Superheroes. Maybe Taika has a clause in his contract or something. However, this year you will have to interact with the NPC to begin the quests, and, to add to their previous collection of quest options (Daily, Weekly, and Seasonal), NBA 2K23 will be introducing Rival Quests. Similarly to what it sounds like, each rival quest will be its own storyline that grants you a chance to go head-to-head with the NCP rival and enjoy an authentic dialogue experience. NBA 2K22: Cancha Del Mar Neighborhood Every figure in this set is either completely new or has at least a new printing or change to an old design. As for our debut figures, there’s Gorr, the big bad guy of the movie, Valkyrie, and Mighty Thor, or Jane Foster. The reaction which followed the announcement of 76208 The Goat Boat was overwhelmingly positive and deservedly so, in my opinion. This vehicle combines the historical inspiration and fantasy which are associated with Thor, balancing these attributes to achieve potentially broad appeal. The shape of the longship appears absolutely beautiful, reflecting reality.

The longboat is drawn through the skies by legendary goats Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder, who are raised off the ground so kids can easily push the ship along as they play. The set includes 5 minifigures – Thor, Mighty Thor, Valkyrie, Korg and Gorr – and a host of weapons and accessories, including Thor’s Stormbreaker axe. A central cabin features an opening roof for access to extra play space inside. Authentic accessories – including a boat wrench, fire extinguisher, map of New Asgard, bottle and a sunstone crystal – further inspire imaginative play. When the day’s Super-Hero adventures are over, kids can display the ship in their room. For extra construction fun, the free LEGO Building Instructions app contains intuitive, digital visualization tools, including zoom and rotate. I did find it a little perplexing that the brown-haired goat (not sure which is Toothgrinder and which is Toothgnasher) had no molded ears, but after looking at some other promo images and merch, it looks like its ears in the source material are much shorter than the long, floppy ears of its white-haired companion. So I think the sideways studs on the pieces used to attach the horns are an OK representation of them in this case. New Asgard has become a tourist attraction during Thor: Love and Thunder, seemingly toured using interesting vehicles like this one. The wonderfully-named Goat Boat looks excellent and measures 43cm in length, including the goats, which is larger than I anticipated. This dark tan colour works nicely and the presence of dark tan highlights is attractive, without overwhelming the traditional wood construction.

Here’s a look at the stern, which is shaped to look like twin serpents or dragons. I was really impressed by the build techniques, and the nice part usage (antlers, and open studs for the eyes) which make the twin dragon heads look very expressive. It’s remarkable how much room there is, as it encourages plenty of different scenes, and ways to display the characters on the boat.

Here’s a comparison with a proper LEGO Goat. Close, but no cigar, and I’m enjoying the fact that LEGO seem to be doing everything in their power to not give us a proper LEGO Goat that everyone sorely wants. There’s much to explore this year on The G.O.A.T. Boat. Around the ship, you’ll notice state-of-the-art facilities and a decadent environment, fostering an experience you won’t find elsewhere. MORE WAYS TO PLAY It’s rare to get the film’s director (Taika Waititi) to be a supporting character, and even rarer to be immortalised as a minifigure, but that’s the Korg experience. Valkyrie (played by Tessa Thompson) is technically King of New Asgard, and features updated torso and leg prints as well. The set features a traditional looking Viking boat but being pulled by two rather odd looking Goats, Toothgnasher& Toothgrinder. If that doesn’t embody the look and feel of Thor’s next outing I do t know what does.King Valkyrie doesn't care about your feelings. King Valkyrie does not need to explain herself. Thor declared her King, and he does not answer to you." While moulded goats remain desirable, I think actually assembling these magical animals was appropriate here. After all, Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder are significantly bigger and stronger than typical goats, pulling their eponymous boat at remarkable speeds. Admittedly, their printed faces seem odd, but these designs convey great personality and the goats' different horns are perfect.
