About this deal

I liked every book in this series and I was especially looking forward to "Vicious Prince", Ronan’s book.

Xander and Kim was friends once upon a time, they were neighbours and each others everything. Something happened that turned Xander hateful towards Kim. The plot turned to an interesting twist by 70% of the book. The story blurred to me at that part and that's when I lost interest. I NEEDED TO KNOW cuz these two were driving me insane, especially Xander with all his pushing and pulling and the whole "my mind says no but my body says YES", and the "i hate you but i highkey love you" thing he does. For both Kimberly and Xander, their broken pieces cut me soul deep- ALL THE FEELS never felt more appropriate. I saw them, and I loved their journey and such a scarred and beautiful story with a HEA.Rina Kent did not let up- she was relentless with the rawness of her bared emotions- her angsty heart wrenching words battered me, wave after wave, I was pulled under and pulled apart... left drowning in my own blood... First things first, I would like to point out I am not a spiteful or malicious person by any means which I hope my fellow Goodreads members/friends/followers can testify to with my interactions with them. Everything that has happened in and out of these groups, not to just me but others as well, the author addition to her little minions need to be called out on their shit. All of that rambling and ranting that you’ll bear witness to below aside, everything that has transpired has left a bad taste in my mouth and I can’t support authors who treat readers or anyone in general like this. So I would like to apologize in advance for this long ass message so without further adieu...

Though I really liked Cole in previous books, I found out that we really didn’t know him at all. Nobody does since he keeps everything to himself. He is a bit of a Silver Stalker also, he knows everything she does and most of the reasons why.

See a Problem?

She also included another mother figure who's even worse. Since it's a spoiler, I won't mention what makes her worse, but jesus H Christ... During the book there's a visible change in Cole's behavior , don't get me wrong , he's the usual manipulative , subtle sexy nerd , but getting closer and closer to Silver he became even a little sweeter (if we can call it that 😂) Xander and Kim's story wasn't what I expected, this story was too tame compared to Aiden amd Elsa. I've to admit this story kind of felt lame. Not to insult the author, this book was additionally different from the authors other books. Kim has been body shamed and bullied her whole life by her own mother and at school. Xander also played part in tormenting her too. They were close and best friends once but then something happened and Xan cut himself off from her. He was someone she really trusted, so when he pushed her away she thought it was cause of something she did in the past and has blamed herself since. The only reason she wakes up in the morning is ‘cause of her little brother Kir ( who was freaking ADORABLE ). She will do anything for him. She’s close to her Dad but he’s always away on business.

To be honest I knew this book was gonna break my heart the second I heard the playlist, but I was so ready for it. Now I want to talk about the one who stole my heart and my affection in this book: Kimberly Reed. I suffered with her. I felt all of her pain. There are very few characters who I have loved the way I loved her, in my entire life. I identified myself with the girl with green hair in a way that I really put myself in her shoes. Kim made me cry as I did few times in my life, and like I never did before with a book. I love her… it's that simple. She is one of the strongest characters I have ever read. I'm delighted with her, and Kim is an inspiration for me. Thank you for this amazing character, Rina. Once Elsa began dating Aiden, Kim was sort of accepted into their group, in that Elsa insisted Kimberly come with wherever she was invited. So Kim started attending Ronan’s parties, as well as the weekly football games where they all get together in the theatre room in Aiden’s house to watch his cousin’s pro team play on the big screen. Kimberly: I wish you were never my friend. I wish you had never told me you’d be there for me. I wish you didn’t know so much about me and still chose not to be with me. I wish there was never me or you or us.~ I cried so hard. Get ready… not to be able to put this book down, to feel the thrill of gagging and… crying… and I don’t mean a tear or two. I’ve only referred to certain films in this way, but this book…is definitely a teardrop. Keep your tissues handy.

Holy shit. Holy shit. Holy shit. She did that. She freaking did that. I can't believe it. I went from an apprehensive reader to a rina-kent-can-have-all-my-money-for-this-masterpiece reader. She is that good people! everyone in these series is culpable. but everyone blames each other for their shitty actions instead, especially Silver. but to know he goaded and encouraged Elsa to physically hurt Silver, then said she brought it on herself/deserved it? it made zero sense to me?? the Cole i had gotten to know wouldn’t have done anything that extreme??

The worst of all. The most beautiful of all. And you know what? You might as well be the deadliest.”FYI, the doll master was someone obsessed over Silver, who stalked her and sent her unknown messages. And when it was revealed who it was, I was like One thing I really liked about this book, as well as the others is the supporting characters. I love the four horsemen. Xander is known as the horseman war which is fitting because he is full of anger. Ronan is a great guy in this one and he sets out to make Xander jealous throughout the book by dating Kim. Aiden and Cole even jump in to help a few times to try to get Xander to make a move or at least do something different. Cole and Silver have known each other since their childhood. They both had a mutual dislike for each other. That is until they found peace with each other on their worst day together. Weaknesses were shared and a bond was formed. A bond that lasted forever. Xander Knight- Woooo he’s a doozy. If you haven’t read any other books in this series; here’s a small play by play. Blonde, tall and handsome. The ultimate popular golden boy. Intimidating, arrogant but popular, you know the type— except he goes out of his way to torture poor Kim’s life. I have been really anticipating getting to know more about his character since Cruel Prince and even more so when I saw how awful he was being towards Kim in the DK trilogy. I kept thinking what is this guys problem?? And throughout all the other books, we get a few hints of their past relationship but that KIM was the problem/to blame and not him?? Okaaay sold, I have to know. As I've said, before going into this book I thought he was the harshest with how he treated ‘Berly’ since the beginning, and to be so unforgiving for something that happened when they were children?? Again, that’s just petty…but little did I know what was going on through Xander’s head. Rina Kent's books happen in the same world, but with a slightly different timeline and therefore, many characters pop across different books.
