You could argue the G Pro X are more aesthetically pleasing with the blue/gold color scheme, however, I feel the design and colors of both headphones are equally professional and attractive. Comfort Logitech G Pro X The G Pro X headband presses hard down on my head and could use more padding. The HS70 constantly holds a solid connection at my desk. However, that isn’t the case when I move around.

Overall, the build quality for the HS70 Pro Wireless exceeds my expectations. It feels like I received a quality product and everything seems sturdy and ready for years of use. The Logitech G Hub software can really personalize my audio for the game and makes for a much more immersive experience. Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless The HS70 Pro Wireless also lose 7.1 surround sound on console, making the sound less immersive, but are superb in every other area. The HS70 still have great audio on PS4, however, it’s more difficult to determine the sound direction without 7.1 surround sound. When using the headset with your PC, as opposed to a PS4, there is extra functionality available by installing the Corsair Utility Engine (CUE). This is Corsair's software for customizing its peripherals, and for the HS70 options include turning on 7.1 surround, selecting and adjusting EQ profiles, tweaking mic volume and sidetone (which adds the sound from your mic into your headphones, assuming you don’t hate the sound of your voice), and it also shows the percentage of battery power remaining.

The battery life is listed as up to 16 hours, which is more than enough to cover a few gaming sessions, unless you’re livestreaming a marathon on Twitch. While running a constant stream of music to test the battery life, they lasted just over 14.5 hours from full charge to empty. Whether you’re a professional or casual gamer, the sound quality will meet your needs. The audio cues are direct and crisp and the 7.1 surround sound gives a clear direction of where sounds are coming from. The exception is on PS4 where the 7.1 surround sound isn’t supported and this slightly takes away from directional cues. While playing Eve online, the audio reproduced was excellent. As I warped from system to system fighting would-be thieves, the audio of my thrusters rumbled perfectly, and the explosions of enemy ships were absolute perfection going from hard lows to expanding highs without any distortion.

The headband has strong resistance which forces the ear cups inward. This creates a tight seal around my ears but there is constant pressure from the ear cups. The seal is so tight it makes the earcups hardly breathable, and after long sessions of gameplay, the ear cups get very humid. In this case, without the 7.1 surround sound, this player got the jump on me in the Gulag. However, a last-second audio cue of his footsteps let me turn around and have a fighting chance. Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless The HS70 Pro Wireless uses the iCUE software to customize the sound. It has presets and even lets you create your own. It’s not nearly advanced as the Logitech G Hub, but it has a much more friendly interface for new users.
