The essence feels very hydrating and moisturising, with my skin not even once breaking out from the rich ingredient list (ceramides and hyaluronic acid can sometimes be a bit much for it during that time of the month). After using this, my skin feels and looks less thirsty and I swear, it has a little bit of a happy-healthy glow. the I’m From’s Rice Toner essence is the least “rich” and for me, it’s closer to a classic essence than an all-in-one product. This winter, I can see myself doing two layers to keep my skin perfectly hydrated, moisturised and glowing! The brightening power of Vegan Kombucha Essence Centella Asiatica also often shows up in products that try to treat cellulite or striae. Of course, it cannot make a miracle but it might have some effect via regulating microcirculation and normalizing the metabolism in the cells of connective tissues. This product does everything I could want all in one, and for me, that totally justifies the price! I had thought it was a bit expensive before I tried it but now I’m hooked. I think it’s easy to use and adaptable to all seasons.As for the formula, it combines the powerful anti-aging abilities of kombucha tea extract with various antioxidant plant extracts, and a nourishing sunflower seeds oil. It’s a dual-phase formula that needs to be mixed by shaking before use to create a creamy, super silky and pleasant liquid texture! A real sensorial pleasure to use, not to mention that it’s also beautiful to see in the bottle 😉. A few years ago, I shared with you my appreciation for Korean essences that could replace a moisturizer with the LaNeige’s now cult Cream Skin Refiner essence, and the least I can say is that this category of products has grown quite a bit since then!

Except… I have a combination skin. Dry prone, yes, but still. And I live in a country where it’s still 15 degrees on colder days! So, in my morning routine, it was a bit too much for my skin.

The Dr Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha essence is one of the most cosmetically elegant products I’ve used and has such a range of benefits for my skin. It’s become a staple in my k-beauty routine and keeps my skin in top condition. Compared to pure water, has various nutrition, such as vitamins, tannin, amino acids, and proteins for detox and anti aging. I really liked the feeling of the silky texture on my skin, for sure, but I also had a tendency to look shiny faster than usual with it. So I switched and use it in my evening skincare routine. And it was just perfect! My skin just seems to need less oil in summer – and it was especially hot this year, so I didn’t use it that much this summer. I missed using it, however, so I suspect I’ll just use half the amount I’d use in spring or autumn. Now the temperature has dropped, the essence is perfect to give my skin a boost and keep it comfortable. I’m such a big fan of anything fermented. Fermenting is said to break down ingredients into more bioavailable forms and provide various useful things for the skin ( heres a study which shows this). Plus, ferments seem to help skin hold on to moisture better.
