About this deal

Is it a safe blind buy? No. But it's different than anything I own, and I really enjoy it. It's minimal, light and transparent, but lovely. Definitely polarizing. Try before you buy! Wear it and see how you feel. I would have said they're trolling in the first place by calling it a "cologne"—yet it has no citrus in it whatsoever. You simply can't do by Italian heritage. I don't find that this has an entirely a bad style though. It feels very new age—like a Neo-style take on the Cologne style. Very artistic. Nice technique. My one caveat is some of these sample bottles are dauber, open types, not sprays. And sometimes it seems to me, when you put a fragrance on that way, straight from the bottle, you miss notes. I don’t know if the scent molecules can settle, or if when they are decanted something is missing. It seems to happen more with this type. Or, maybe it’s my imagination.

So anyway, it's not bad, but it isn't at all sensual, golden or anything close. It smells like light powdery greens and purple. This might be the most incongruous scent&bottle combo I've ever experienced. The body spray is called like JDMan Extreme, or something generic like that. It can be bought in walmart for 4 dollars, and theres a few others in the line. Honestly, it's a great scent for what it is. The body spray that is. It seriously smells exactly like Gucci Guilty PH.

Creativity at its best, surprising both from Morillas (a perfumer that used to be more focused on commercial success than creativity in the last 15-20 years), as well as from Gucci (who recently got out of a 10-year creative desert with Gucci Guilty Absolute.... inspired, if not copied from Terenzi's Ursa, but that's a different discussion...) Guilty Pour Homme is carefully designed for men who know what they want and who get what they want. The charismatic alpha male, a true magnet for ladies, is represented in this provocative and seductive composition. The fragrance opens with lavender and lemon, leaving enough space for very appealing scents of orange blossom. Basic tones are supported by warm woody accords of cedar and patchouli, offering a firm but exciting and soft coloring to the whole composition. I do not get any incense or scratchy chemical notes like I do from BdC or AdG Profumo. This is way more smooth and much more pleasing to me. If I didn't discover BDC EDP in my journey this would have easily become my Spring office scent. I'm tempted to make this winter office but it doesn't have enough winter season vibes. I have Sauvage EDP for that with the nutmeg. It has told me, "shut-up, stop overthinking and just wear me" reminding me of the basic function of a perfume, and I have submitted to its commands. It has restarted everything for me and told me it is as much functional as it is art. I needed Gucci Guilty Cologne to remind me that perfume is equally an art as it is functional. I find it calming and addicting and it has become one of my favorite signatures to reach for this spring and summer. I look forward to also wearing it this fall and winter. Unique, avant-garde, but ultra-modern and clean. A misunderstood masterpiece in my opinion.Campaign: Captured by photographer Glen Luchford, the new Gucci Guilty scents are represented as part of another unexpected location – the diner – complete with inimitable red booths, wood-paneled walls, and shuttered windows. Nestled within one such booth, Gucci Guilty protagonists Jared Leto and Lana Del Rey stare directly out in a challenge that subtly dares the viewer to join them in the celebration of liberty. A special cameo from Courtney Love serves to reinforce this message. Things were actually worst for women. The whole "Parfum" line, Acenti, Flora, Gucci by Gucci, and so on...

There is something else very nostalgic about this scent. It reminds me of a very grown-up version of a similar (although, not as well done) smelling body-spray that I wore as a teenager, whose name I don't even remotely remember, that my father probably bought me at Target. But GG buttons it up, and makes it adult-appropriate, instead of juvenile. I don't think this smells generic. Bleu De Chanel has become the Generic smelling cologne for me because there are so many that smell like it, Jimmy Choo, Acqua Essenziale, Sauvage etc. This one doesn't smell like Bleu De Chanel, so cross that "generic" description off the list. It smells really good, like almost fruity, but sexy. I have a yuuuge collection and I don't have anything that smells as close to this as all the previously mentioned one's smell to Bleu De Chanel. Seriously, this is a unique fragrance, unless you are comparing it to Gucci Guilty Intense which is supposed to smell like it. This stuff smells good, maybe familiar, but it is original.

Unlike GGA, it's not a love at first sniff. I like, but not sure I could pull it off, as I'm not sure it would fit my personality... will have to waer it again before thinking at a full bottle. But for sure, I have to admit that it's really a new kind of masculine floral, very unique, that Gucci has issued here. Great job! I initially added this during the summer months and it was just a "like" for me. In fall, I'm re-evaluating and rotating in some fragrances specifically for fall vibes. Because I lean so hard into Bergamot and citrus notes, it's harder for me to find heavier, fall-like scents I like on my body. I also HATE vanilla and dislike most powdery and ozonic notes on my skin as they dry down.
