It wasn't long before the vaults also became the worldly haunt of a collection of the city's rogues, villains, prostitutes – and murderers. Adding Standon Hall in Staffordshire was also particularly hair raising, she continued: ‘I was physically shaking with absolute fear and I had to walk out of both those locations and just take an hour to have a break from it. It was just too much.

Towards the end of the episode, which aired in 2004, Stuart fell to the floor and screamed for help saying "I can't move." The team around him Karl, Jon Dibley, and Derek Acorah, tried to comfort him, but Stuart cried "don't rub my chest." Derek said "I felt him being walloped the second time, he was hit fully in the chest and ribs."

London is the destination for Yvette Fielding and the Most Haunted team where fear, dread and eerie dopple-gangers await in the most famous tourist attraction in the world. The attraction has a long and diverse history beginning life in France in the 1700’s – Marie Tussaud, nee Grosholtz, learnt her wax modelling arts from Dr Philippe Curtius, a physician and skilled wax modeller, for whom her mother was housekeeper. On his death, he left his waxwork collection to Marie. By 1835 she was established in London. “The Chamber of Horrors” became one of the first and most popular attractions. Despite success, Madame Tussaud, gained a reputation for being unsmiling and penny-inching. She died in 1850, but her legacy lived on via her sons. The business continued to prosper and by 1884, her grandsons had moved the exhibit to its current location on Marylebone Road. The stories of paranormal occurrences that cling to the attraction and its many exhibits were reason enough for Most Haunted to come and investigate While at Knottingley Town Hall in Yorkshire in 2015, the team's resident demonologist, Fred Batt showed off his witchcraft skills with a voodoo experiment.

TV shows featuring real people telling their ghost stories are a dime a dozen these days, and it's easy to see why. Who doesn't like to get a little scared in the safety of their own home? The fact that the stories are said to be true just adds to the decadence. Haunted, which recently released its third season on Netflix, brings its offering of the genre in an enjoyably unique way. Another legend is that of an evil man who left his wife while fighting in foreign lands. While on his travels he courted another woman who gave him a magic sword. He returned to his castle to have his wife and young child drowned and to marry yet another woman, this one an evil witch. His ot

The Moresby family were notorious in the medieval times, and aquired large estates through conquest and marriage. Few amongst the dedicated army of Most Haunted fans will ever forget the Edinburgh Vaults special, broadcast live from the eerie location. The Edinburgh Vaults, which were constructed in the late 1700s, has a rich and morbid history. Originally built to be used for storage space for local South Bridge businesses, the Vaults were eventually taken over by city slum dwellers and the poor, as well as prostitutes. The Vaults were small, dark, dirty and cramped. Many were ill and unhappy there. Most Haunted undertook a Live special from the Vaults in 2006, and the results were frightening and unnerving. When recovered Derek states “He’s a bad one, he’s a bad one, he’s evil, he’s evil.” Indeed. Kreed Kafer

In 2016 the team conducted an all night investigation at a 13th century property which is said to be haunted by a grey lady and ghostly singing.

The crew member told Acorah that the information he was being given was not to be used during filming as there was no sign of Kafer in the prison records. Most of the team, including Yvette were in the building's boardroom where they were conducting a Ouija board session. Meanwhile Fred was down in the cellar with Karl, where unbeknown to the rest of the team, he was going to perform a voodoo ritual using an eerie doll with Stuart's face on it.
