I’m quite surprised that Adria would have fitted to a 2017 motorhome a water system that includes an ‘old tech’ Whale pressure switch.I can only assume that something else happened when the surge damper was fitted, perhaps a pipe was rerouted that prevented it from vibrating against a wooden panel, or something like that. So if the problem does not spontaneously cure itself, beginning by swapping the Pressure Switch would make sense. And, if there are no leaks and fitting a replacement Pressure Switch and pump is ineffective, that would just leave the Whale surge damper. Installation instructions for the damper are here Thanks Derek. Have saved a copy of that exploded view for future reference. Suspect this might not be the last issue I have with the pressure switch. I am pleased that fitting a surge damper has made a difference to the noise, but from what I know of the way they work, by its self it will not change the noise the pump makes but it will affect how often and for how long the pump works. Surge dampers became necessary in some caravans, because the storage water heaters like the Carver and Truma models all needed to have a small air cap in the tanks. This was to allow the water to expand when it was heated. The consequence of ths compressed air cap was that the hot water system attained a higher pressure than the cold water, and when a mixer-tap was opened ( for example in the shower) the pressure in the hot tank would push hot water out before the pressure switch on the cold would turn on. This gave alternate surges of hot and warm water rather than a steady temperature. Yes, you can continue to return items as normal as long as you follow the government guidelines about leaving your house. Overnight I charged the battery and this afternoon the same problem occurred. Now as it's a pressure system which should cut out once the required pressure is achieved I could only assume there was a leak somewhere. This would act in a similar way to the hot, and smoothed or damps out the surges. Inflatable Boats & Tenders Seago Inflatable Tenders Waveline/WavEco Inflatable Tenders Talamex Inflatable Tenders
