Ka. The said gunpla has yet to be released in real life, but the Kunio Okawara-designed GM Sniper Custom got released in 2017, 11 years after the movie release. In Mobile Suit Gundam 0083 Rebellion, a GM Sniper Custom belonging to the 404th airborne unit provided sniper support to a team of RGM-79V GM Night Seeker in capturing the stolen RX-78GP02A Gundam "Physalis". It was fixed to an Assault Type Gunperry and destroyed a MS-05L Zaku I Sniper Type defending the Komusai II transporting the Gundam. However, due to dense fog and the destruction of the GM Night Seeker team, it was forced to retreat. On December 2, 0079, the 2nd Special Service Platoon of the EFF 17th Mechanized Marine Division was deployed to Borneo to scout the Zeon supply route between Mount Kinabalu and Brunei and intercept them if possible. The Platoon consisted of Captain Grey, who piloted a GM Spartan; Lieutenant Barrow, who piloted a RGC-80 GM Cannon, and an unnamed pilot in a GM Scout. [4]

While the White Dingo Team version of the GM Sniper II is often portrayed using the long-range beam rifle, it never had access to it in the Rise From the Ashes game. It was first depicted using the long-range beam rifle in Mobile Suit Gundam: Journey to Jaburo. Another unit was rolled out in December, U.C. 0079 and assigned to North America. This unit had a different color scheme and featured orange sensors. By the end of the war, it had accumulated five kill scores, including at least one MS-06S Zaku II Commander Type and one MS-09 Dom, respectively. Unconfirmed reports indicated that this unit later participated in the Gryps War as part of Karaba. [1] Variants [ ] Following the success of the RGM-79D GM Cold Districts Type, a late production type GM deployed in the One Year War, development of new localized warfare machines using the suit as a basis started. [1] The basic concept is to maintain the fundamental design of the GM Cold Districts Type while improving on its output and mobility. [1] Demands of MS pilots who were unsatisfied with the original RGM-79 GM's performance were also taken into account, and with the upcoming counter offensive in space against the Principality of Zeon in mind, a decision was made to simultaneously developed a ground use unit and a space use unit. [1] The end results were the ground use GM Command, and the space use RGM-79GS GM Command Space Type. [1] Both suits were also used to collect data for the development of next generation mass production models. [2] Two wire-guided missiles mounted on the right shoulder. [1] [2] [4] Due to being wire-guided, the GM Spartan was unable to move when firing them. [4] A pair of shell-firing armament built into the head. Low offensive power, only used to restrict enemy movement, and lay down a wall of suppressive fire due to their rapid fire capability.

Gwazine-class | Musai-class | Musai-class Final Production Type | Musai-class Late Production Type | Zanzibar-class The same pole-arm weapon as used by the RGM-79FP GM Striker, it consists of a telescopic handle with two movable beam sabers attached at the top. When the two beam sabers are pointing straight ahead, the weapon is in 'Rod Mode' and has a long reach. When the two beam sabers are pointing sideways, the weapon is in 'Scythe Mode' for slicing apart enemies.

Developed for sniper-type MS, it is based on the beam rifle used by the Guncannon. It is meant specifically for precision shooting at mid-long range and has enhanced beam convergence rate. It has minimal firing sensors, relying instead on the sniper-type MS' wide array of sensor systems and fire control system. It was confirmed to be equipped on Lydo Wolf's GM Sniper II. A double-barreled version of the BR-M-79C-1 Beam Spray Gun. This design suppresses barrel heating by firing alternately from the two barrels.Model number: NFHI GMG-TYPE2 [3] The GMG-TYPE2, made by Norfolk Heavy Industries, was the primary weapon of the GM Cold Districts Type. It was a 90mm electrically-driven machine gun with a 35 round magazine. [2] [3] A weapon designed for cold environments, its side-mounted magazine doubled as a foregrip, and it also featured an under-barrel grenade launcher. [1] EMS-10F Zudah F | MS-06F Zaku II | MS-09B Dom | MS-09F/Br Dom Barrage | MS-14B Gelgoog High Mobility Type [Falaq] | YMS-23C Ghoul In the SD Gundam G Generation series, the GM Sniper II's sniper rifle was erroneously depicted as a beam weapon consistently. This was not corrected until Genesis in 2016. At the end of the One Year War, an emergency special mission to prevent the launch of HLVs by the Principality of Zeon was given to the "White Dingo Team," an independent MS platoon on the Australian front. For this mission, the GM Sniper II, which had just rolled out at Jaburo, the headquarters of the Earth Federation Forces, was sent directly to the team. Since this machine was hastily deployed to the team, it was not changed to the gray coloring of other White Dingo's MS, but it had a unique white and blue coloring. The White Dingo Team engaged in fierce battles with the Principality of Zeon's MS-14G Gelgoog Ground Type, prototype MA Rhinoceros, and other forces, and all of them safely survived the One Year War.

The GM II was also given the model number RGM-79R or RGM-82, and was the successor of the RGM-79 GM. However, its performance was only slightly improved, and some units were retrofitted GMs rather than brand new units. The GM Command was built in the last weeks of the One Year War, however they were never produced in the numbers to make a difference to the Federation's war effort. Most that were built typically did not see front-line action, instead being regulated to colony and base defense. A number of these machines were assigned to the Federation forces stationed at the Neutral Side 6 Ribo Colony, at least three of which were assigned to Gray Phantom's Scarlet Team. These mobile suits would battle with the Zeon forces' mobile suits that had infiltrated the colony in search of Federation activity. Initially, the Federation was hesitant to aid the colony in their defense, but they had no choice when the Zeon's MS-18E Kämpfer appeared to be too much for the Colony defense forces. However despite being superior to the standard GM and had already defeated several MS-06FZ Zaku II Kai several days earlier, the Kämpfer was too much and wiped out all of Scarlet team's mobile suits, as well as anything else that stood in its way until it reached the Gundam. During U.C. 0081, some GM Command units were assigned to the Phantom Sweep Corps for their battles against Zeon Remnants, these units featured the team emblem on their shields. These units were limited production machines created by Anaheim to improve the Jegan and the Jeddah. The RGM-90 Jeddah Improve Type was a ground combat mobile suit that was delivered to Federation bases on Earth. The RGM-91S Jegan Enhanced Armor Type was a high-performance mobile suit, featuring powerful engines and added Gundarium armor. After the war, in U.C. 0084, the Titans deployed modernized version of the GM Sniper II to support other mobile suits during missions against Zeon remnants.

Toward the end of the war, it was also deployed in Operation Odessa, which became the stage for a large-scale battle on the ground.
