About this deal

We’ll be showing off all of the new Redemptionist models on Saturday as part of the latest Warhammer Preview Online so make sure you tune in, or you may be deemed to be a heretic. VanSaar is likely, will have to come with new items and armours, shields, which will be cool if they did. But it would only be VanSaar based on the hints if you assume that the devs have an understanding of the source material. They may just think that Cawdor are irradiated due to their closeness to machines, and living in the gutter more or less and their janitorial side. I think Cawdor would be the easiest one to get into game, as nothing will need to be added really (maybe a few reskins for the melee weapons if anything. Also give a buff or rethink how flamethrowers works in game (add blaze or burned debuff maybe.

As we’ve mentioned above, Redemptionists draw from a mostly-different armory than their Cawdor counterparts. There are a few familiar sights, but the new stuff is awfully shiny: Every house gang gets a special ability, and y’all, Cawdor’s unique brand of shenanigans slaps . Unlike any other gang, the Articles of Faith system is completely free and is used in every single battle . This is huge. Escher and Goliath have very powerful special rules attached to their gangs, but they’re expensive. All Cawdor gangs just get to use Articles of Faith. Full stop. Blasting Charges [anyone]: Top choice for bomb rats. The excellent Strength and damage make up for the reduced range. Rating: B+There are none above redemption at the end of a Chainsword. Should I fall, it is because it is my sublime reward to have been chosen for absolution by the God-Emperor." Emperor’s Wrath Rounds: This ammo turns the Blunderbuss into the less-good side of the Combat Shotgun, which is good, but at 35 credits, it is far too pricey for what it does. It’s a better idea to give your blunderpolers a Reclaimed Autogun if you want them to have more of a ranged threat.

This brings them in line with the rest of the gangs who have received the “House of ____” treatment. Additionally:The Cult originated in the violent Underhives of Necromunda, where the original Redemptionists saw the lives of toil of the hive inhabitants, the unreachable luxury of the nobles and the violent anarchy of the Underhive and concluded that they were in a living hell. Each fighter has one of two special rules: Pious or Fanatical . Along with a marginal bonus to either Rally or Nerve tests (respectively), this rule helps determine a gang’s alignment. After gang creation the Cawdor player needs to count up how many Pious fighters they have, and then how many Fanatical fighters they have. If they have more Pious fighters, they’re considered to be (mostly) Law Abiding. If they have more Fanatical fighters, then they’re Outlaws. If the gang is split down the middle, then the Pious/Fanatical designation of the gang’s Leader will act as the tie-breaker. This won’t matter for every campaign, but if you’re taking part in a Law & Misrule campaign, or your Arbitrator has prescribed rules for Outlaws, then this determination will matter a great deal. Redemptionist beliefs are based on the Imperial Creed, which holds that mankind is ruled and guided by the Emperor. While the Imperial Creed has definite militant overtones, the Redemption has taken it one stage further. Built-in armor is, once again, gone. This translates to a 5-credit increase in price for Leaders and Champs, and a 10-credit increase for Gangers. There are no stat upgrades on any of the returning Fighters to balance these increases. All those who failed to fight the xenos must then be purged, followed by all those who might fail in the future and so on, until everyone is prosecuted for the failure to prevent such heretical acts.
