About this deal

P. S. the one very useful caravan-specific info. I would relish is the position and extent, in each model, of all the wooden/metal fixing battens in the walls/roof of the 'van. i really want anyone to have access to the right information. i even have manuals for the now obsolete carver cascade1 and carver caravelle heater. since i started in this trade 14yrs ago i have collected All the manuals i could get my hands on. These documents are incredibly useful if you have acquired a pre-owned caravan and need more information on things such as; weights & dimensions, fitted appliances (makes and models) and sleeping arrangements.

In the short and to the point video course you will learn; what equipment you need to perform a damp test, how to spot the early signs of damp and how to perform the actual test itself.

Enforcement Weighing Of Vehicles – Consolidated Code of Practice : Code of Practice on Dynamic Axle Weighers-1 Older Caravan Wiring Diagrams

Discover our range of motorhomes and campervans whilst enjoying everything as standard - even Wi-Fi. However small monographs, dealing with the specifics of ranges of caravans from different manufacturers or different 'years' could well find a market, especially if supported by the industry. Personally however, I wouldn't hold my breath I'm afraid. The old caravan kitchen pictured above would benefit hugely from some newer kitchen appliances, but I’d install them in the same location. Similarly, the space-heater recess could takea newer replacement; although minor changes to the furniture may be necessary to achieve that.Millard was started by Jim Darlington in the late 1940’s in Sydney. Taking his cue from the popularity of travel trailers in the United States, he set about making a few vans. It didn’t take long before ‘a few’ caravans turned into a ‘a lot’ and they moved into a bigger factory. In an effort to create a one-stop source for caravan owners who are looking for otherwise unavailable information and instruction about their caravans we are working on creating the Internet’s largest single digital caravan handbook library. Jim was soon joined in the business by his sons John and Peter, and under their leadership it become the second largest caravan manufacturer in Australia at the time.

Without exception, renovatinga caravan is going to involve a critical look at the basic supply systems. As already mentioned, gas supplies should be left to experts, although you can replace cylinder-mounted regulators and items such asthe flexible coupling hose. Many new parts may beneeded in a general upgrading project. Unfortunately, lotsof the items fitted in ourhomes aren’t suitable foruse in caravans; they couldbe too heavy, for example. Our library currently contains more than 100 digital owner’s manuals for the mainstream caravan manufacturers past and present. the idea is i would do all the work myself. having a vast knowledge of touring caravans and being responsible for training staff to pass their city and guilds. i am a founder member of the ACW and on their working party for raising standards of training. there is so much bull spoken by people in the trade to confuse customers and part them from their hard earned money. im trying to see if there is a need for good jargon-free advice on fault finding, repairing and advice. this will cover ALL aspects of touring caravans and ALL manufacturers specs and diagrams inc, truma, electrolux, carver, dometic, plug in systems, bca, alko, bpw, knott, whale, surflo etc.

Dometic acquired the leisure products division of Electrolux in 2002. Since then they have grown dramatically through acquisitions. Their portfolio now includes fridges, air conditioning units, sanitation products, Seitz/Heki window systems, Smev cookers and all Waeco products. This season, we are thrilled to commemorate a significant milestone - a decade of SMART Construction.

This is obviously fairly generic in nature, but whether caravan-specific information could be appended I'm not sure; it would certainly need the co-operation of the manufacturers. And some of the older ones, where such information would be especially useful, have long gone out of business. Other manufacturers may be reluctant to release all their technical info. on each model of their 'van. (They won't publish nose-weight info. for a start!!) Don’t fall into the trap of trying to cover every caravan type in common use. Many manufacturers issue one manual to cover their complete range in a given year (e. g. Explorer), the result is something far too complicated with many mistakes made both in writing and reading. I hope I'm not being too critical or 'negative', but I just wonder how Mr Sheens 'Manual' is to differ or augment the already existing Haynes 'Caravan Manual'.
