Queen Palm Identification When the palm is relatively immature, it has a stumpy appearance with an explosion of large arching fronds. The palm’s slow growth means that it takes many years to reach its mature height. The Pindo palm’s cold hardiness enables it to thrive in temperatures as low as 14°F (-10°C). Due to its exceptional drought tolerance, the Pindo palm is a superb option for planting in arid climates or areas with restricted water access. Ensuring appropriate irrigation during the initial growth stage is essential for fostering healthy development and growth.
