I found the early dialogue and interaction was stumbling and awkward but that seemed completely fitting for two guys trying to figure out each other's situation and orientation. The romance feels a bit of a slow build, largely thanks to interlopers and interruptions that keep these guys from making moves time and again, but actually it only takes a few days for Levi and Dean to open up about their attraction and then the romance flows. There's a little rope play but this relationship has no BDSM.It was an enjoyable read overall. I liked the plot, the reconnecting of two people after many years with attraction between them burning brightly, and a subplot of a famous wood artist and the priceless cradle he made for his secret lover's firstborn child.

Broken down and wounded by my emotionally neglectful ex, I wanted someone to tell me I was good enough. While the two spend time together trapped at the airport, they experience several fun times, such as the Christmas tree decoration, and even some discussions. If there are two or more players who complete the mission with the same number of rounds, the player completing it first will have higher position on the leaderboard.Dean "finds" the baby cradle and to his horror it is being used as part of the local church's nativity display. It hasn't and isn't being treated and cared for as the valuable antique Dean believes it is.

Dean is chasing that elusive find, the one that would save his business and make his name in the antiques world. Finding it is Tinsel, and meeting Levi again, was fate. I have a lot of holiday stories in my review list this year and this is the most fun read, I think, of the lot. Overall, I liked the story and how Dean and Levi come together. It's a book that really brings out the festive feels but the story didn't necessarily flow well for me. It took a couple of chapters to really get into it and then there is the odd moment that pulled me out of what we are meant to be feeling - romantic, intense, sad etc. However, I am totally in love with Harry! Every house should have a Harry. This is my first book from Mariah Dietz and I love it, definitely a good start and definitely going to read her other books. Tangled in Tinsel is a light-hearted, low angst Christmas story that definitely reminded me of a Hallmark movie - it held my attention, but didn’t blow me away. I found myself struggling to get into the story until about halfway through when the characters finally started to get comfortable with one another.
