About this deal

Not that buying a Fuji f2 or 1.4 is a mistake, it isn't, i have na 23mm f2 myself, its just that thinking about someone buying something that does the job cheaper then what we spent makes us angry...

Fuji X Passion Sigma 30mm F1.4 – Never too late - Fuji X Passion

I have the 23mm and 50mm f2, which I mostly use 23mm for street, and it’s always on my camera. I like the 23mm wide view, so I can take photos without people noticing while holding it on my side. However, I’m finding that I’ve been cropping images a fair bit when I frame them up in my shot and am thinking of getting the 33mm f1.4 to fill the gap. We use Imatest SFR (spatial frequency response) charts and analysis software to plot lens resolution at the center of the image frame, corners and mid-point distances, across the range of aperture settings and, with zoom lenses, at four different focal lengths. The tests also measure distortion and color fringing (chromatic aberration). Although that can be read as something negative for the Viltrox, you have to read: "i don't need f1.4 so i will buy the Fuji, its WR and smaller as well, similar price…" With this price point, it does attract a lot of potential buyers who are about to start their photography journey. It’s great to have options! The Viltrox AF 23mm f/1.4 is a superb value that performs extremely well mechanically and in creating wonderful images. But its definitly a good thing to have options, and unfortunatly not everyone agree...never understood why. Both of lenses seems to operate correctly for landscape. Any of you can put the link where to get the firmwares for the Fuji X-T4. Is any of you had success updating. I prefer not to update than updating and being in trouble. kính có chế độ cận cảnh cho phép người dùng có được những bức hình cận cảnh đẹp tuyệt đến từng chi tiết. CTMRIGguy I pay no more for healthcare than a minimum wage worker beyond the fact that my income tax levy is higher. That's not a "means test". Nobody now has to request on exemption from healthcare premiums as occured in the past. I have, in years past, been required to fill out a form stating income to get excused from paying a premium. You are required to 'beg' for your coverage! That's what "means tested" involves. A citizen is made to beg for charity from the state.lakhon - totally agree with you re. Canon EOS M bodies. Of course M6 II should have gotten EFCS. And M50 should have received a real "Mk. II worthy" update. M200 is simply priced too high - almost the same as M50 (I) where I live; Otherwise not much wrong with it for a supercompact, entry level crop ILC. It looks like a fine lens worth purchasing for someone getting started or needing an automatic focus lens in that range. Adding those corrections outside the lens ( thus digitally) make desirable attributes for some lenses like smaller form factors and lower pricing possible. Resolution is measured using edges, Siemens stars or other regular structures with íncreasing frequencies. Units like LW/PH, LP/PH, or Cycles per pixel are independent of the sensor size and the pixel pitch. Viltrox has filled the gap of autofocus fast primes with their reverse engineered 23mm, 56mm, and 85mm f/1.4 lenses.

Viltrox lens XF 23 mm F/1.4 with Fuji X-Mount - Rollei Viltrox lens XF 23 mm F/1.4 with Fuji X-Mount - Rollei

If Fuji extract 23mm F2 lens from X100V, it should not include leaf shutter parts because X-E4 built-in focal plane shutter. This said, there are many people who make their decidions or place their comments based on the pros of each lens vs their needs. With that said, the 23mm f1.4 XF lens really fits the criteria of what I think a good 35mm equivalent should be like in terms of ergonomics. f1.4 lenses are generally larger than their smaller aperture counterparts but even then, the Viltrox 23mm f1.4 is quite compact and light. The 23mm f1.4 measures just 2.56 x 2.83″ / 65 x 72 mm, and weighs just 9.17 oz / 260 g. Overall, the Viltrox 23mm f1.4 handles great in the field, and fits great with the Fujifilm camera bodies. The 23mm f1.4 doesn’t make the camera front heavy, for example, and it’s compact enough that you can be pretty discreet when shooting street photography. I was shooting it mainly with my X-T3, and I could easily go all day long with the lens and not feel any fatigue in the end. I also must say that I always have found X-H1 is Fujifilms best camera in terms of ergonomics and operation. So I am not the typical 'classic style' camera user that so many find attractive in Fujifilm cameras.Overall, I think the Viltrox 23mm f1.4 XF lens is a great option for those who are in the Fujifilm X Series system, and are looking for a fast 35mm equivalent. It has a lot going for it, such as, build, ergonomics, autofocus, and image quality. To top it off, the price makes this lens quite a bargain, and allows more users to be able to get a 35mm equivalent lens with a large maximum aperture.

Viltrox 23mm F1.4 lens review — IAN WORTH Viltrox 23mm F1.4 lens review — IAN WORTH

For Fujifilm Sigma needs to put in a lot of R&D money as it needs a dedicated line of lenses while Fuji's overall marketshare in the total camera market does not exceed 7%." Actually thats something funny. Fuji 1.4 has better corner sharpness, nor somethign we can discuss about. If you are looking for a lens for standard documentary photography the 23mm focal length on APS-C will be a good fit. It yields a 35mm full-frame equivalent field of view.Vignetting is reasonably restrained for such a small f/1.4 lens, as shown in this pair of images taken at the widest aperture with auto-correction switched on and off. Lab results It's a shame that Sigma's F1.4 APSC primes aren't available for X mount, as the would breathe some fresh air into Fuji's lineup, while saving users money. Even without applying any correction, barrel distortion is extremely minimal for such a wide-angle lens. Verdict Thanks for posting the test. Yes, the difference seems significant! Sharper center. An oddity is that the Viltrox samples downsize better. Is that due to better low frequency MTF? I can't really judge edge sharpness very well from this set. It's true that the final two shots make the XF 23/2 look sharper, but rendition is so dark that the Viltrox produces more knot detail. As for the sun stars results, the shot taken at f8 produces much softer and less rounded results. On the other hand, it looks sharper at f16 and more detailed than f8. LEFT: Fuji X-E4 .
