The sight filled the northern sky; the immensity of it was scarcely conceivable. As if from Heaven itself, great curtains of delicate light hung and trembled. Pale green and rose-pink, and as transparent as the most fragile fabric, and at the bottom edge a profound and fiery crimson like the fires of Hell, they swung and shimmered loosely with more grace than the most skilful dancer. As the UK is south of where the natural aurora belt occurs (Norway/Iceland/Greenland), it takes a severe or extreme geomagnetic storm (Kp8-9+) to bring the belt southwards directly over the UK. This is a very rare occurrence. During more moderate to strong geomagnetic storms (Kp6-7), the Aurora borealis often moves southwards across southern Iceland or towards the Faeroes. These auroras can be faintly visible from the UK because they occur at high altitudes. The Vardar (2200rpm) has more performance than F12 (1500rpm). One thing that used to disturb me on F12 is that they had a particular humming noise tone at high speed which was annoying for my ears. o_O The fan is controlled via a 4-pin PWM connector. The cable is 40 cm long. This allows the fan to be connected to the motherboard or a fan controller without the need for additional adapter cables or extensions. The digital aRGB LED illumination is controlled via a JST 3-pin connector and adapters are available to change this into a standard 3 pin aRGB connector if required. Aurorae on Mars have also been seen, but as the 'red planet' does not have a global magnetic field, aurorae behave differently and appear to be far more widespread.
