This is the perfume I would gift to someone who normally does not wear perfume. It's great for gals who want a light, fresh fragrance. It's non-offensive and only has a soft whisper of sweetness, so it's appropriate for those who can't stand syrupy fruity florals. Marc Jacobs Daisy Petals is a cute 20ml handbag sized version of the original Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau de Toilette. And as far as the cause of the infamous headache, I’ve been thinking .. was it Daisy Dream I was wearing? Who knows! Anyway, the original Daisy is not headache-inducing (for me, at least). Daisy opens with the natural freshness of wild strawberry, violet leaves and red grapefruit. The heart of gardenia, violet petals and jasmine petals is velvety and luminous. Musk, vanilla infusion and white sandalwood rounds the balance of notes with warm sensuality. Features When I smell this, I picture myself in the meadow in the valley of Yosemite. There’s no one else in the world except me and my poodle chihuahua dog. I’m watching her run around in the fresh, dewy grass with the biggest smile on her face. It’s 7 am in morning and a little brisk, but the sun is out and the sky is blue with some light cloud coverage. There’s dew on the grass and yellow flowers. That’s Daisy! Quiet, fresh, peaceful, dewy, feminine, floral, cheerful.
It’s a very perfumy scent, in which the individual notes don’t really stand out. It’s pretty and light, and I guess it’s well liked, because it has a sparkly quality. To me however, nothing truly stands out to make it interesting. I’ve had a bottle of this for years and I hardly reach for it, because I’m not drawn to it. It’s too bland, too synthetic and too generic. I just found this so bland and forgettable. It smells to me like when you spray loads of things on yourself in a pharmacy and they lose their individual scents. Nothing really grabs me about it and I don't think I'd know it was Daisy if I smelled it on someone else.Daisy is a fairly safe blind buy in that I don't think it would be offensive to anyone. It's very similar to the likes of Chance Eau Tendre by Chanel. Crisp, clean, a little musky with feminine, transparent florals. It's a versatile scent suitable for daytime in warmer weather - and can be an easy-reach every day scent or go-to office scent. To me there's nothing particularly groundbreaking about this fragrance, but it's certainly likable. This is still however, a light fragrance with light fragrance notes, so don’t expect this to be heavy. The strawberries give the perfume sweetness and juiciness, but mild and even in its syntenticity smells lovely.
Marc Jacobs Daisy Kiss is a lovely fresh peony and rose scent. This is definitely one of the most feminine in the range and could easily be a substitute for the more expensive Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet ( my article on the Miss Dior range).But spritzing this was actually the PERFECT reminder to appreciate the beauty of spring time. Even the rainy days. Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Intense is one of my favourite Daisy perfumes and one of the best in the Marc Jacobs Daisy range. Firstly, this is an Eau de Parfum so it has some lasting power. Secondly, it keeps the signature fresh daisy scent but has added a honey and vanilla note which really bring out the strawberry top note. It has a fruitiness without being too sweet, and it has a fresh floridness but still has some projection. I'm not so into florals and I was not expecting to like this, but Daisy has a lovely smell. It is soft, fresh and delicate, perfect for everyday wear.
If you want to own only one perfume and be done, because you are too busy living to worry about perfume, this is is an excellent option. It will serve you well in all situations, climates and seasons of life. The scent ironically doesn’t actually have any daisy perfume notes in. Instead Marc Jacobs Daisy is actually a violet fragrance with a lot of super fresh ozionic notes like grapefruit and gardenia. A hint of strawberry tops off the top notes and helps make the perfume feel quite young and carefree.

Something about this one makes me think of pear or unripe banana flesh immediately after spraying on a test strip.
