The basis of suavity is streamlining in personal grooming, social interaction and transportation. Suave cars never have four doors and should preferably be convertible sports cars - it's impossible to be suave in a people-carrier. Our specialties are straight razors, straight razor kits, and safety razors. Just starting out with wet shaving, read our beginners guide. Honestly this is what women want their men to smell like. If Porn was a fragrance, this will be it !!!

Floid Confusion | The Shaving Room

Main part of this review is that the scent is just too gorgeous. Very spicy, fresh and syrupy wet. Effervescent, dark and super masculine. The drydown gives this a more fresh effect. The opening also smelled a bit close to the LNDL Bleu Electrique, or it might just be me. Other than that the scent is just high-quality and super addictive. If you got carried away with shaving and are experiencing razor burn, here are some ingredients to look for in an aftershave. There is no reformulation guys. You dudes just love this so much that you've worn it too much and can't smell it anymore.Instead I get a nice and spicy coca cola. My only issue is the versatility, can only be worn in height of winter. Semifoolishly bought into the hype around this fragrance and blind bought the 100ml bottle. I trust my own nose and I know what notes I like. Liquorice and lavender foam, with grapefruit and cinnamon had my super intrigued. |PARIS, FRANCE - JUNE 26: A model walks the runway at the Louis Vuitton Spring Summer 2015 fashion ... Since i use it almost daily i can tell you its not for everyone, its indeed a more mature scent that its pretty different to Sauvage edt, but i can really sense a little of the Sauvage dna. Nah, can’t say it is. Especially given the price point. And it being a popular designer, I can see a lot of younger men gravitating towards this. And I’d recommend this to 30+However, mostly the first 3-4 hours. Love this fragrance, which nevertheless stands out quite a bit from the others in the sauvage series, but still has some of that DNA.

Dior Sauvage Aftershave Lotion 100ml - Boots

nothing short of breathtaking, you could easily sell this without the Sauvage name. The projection is huge and lasts forever (on my skin, 13h) which makes 60ml last forever. A favorite among loyalists and newbies alike, Aramis After Shave has proven to be worthy of its cult-favorite status. The liquid formula fuses patchouli, amber and musk with notes of bergamot, cumin and jasmine for an earthy yet refreshing scent that’ll soothe more than just your razor burns (it’s a delight for your senses, too). Plus, its plastic bottle makes it travel-friendly. Sauvage Elixir is a magnificent fragrance. Its opening is very nice, with a slight sweetness, but the real beauty is in the dry down. After the first hour, the scent has a sophisticated mix of warm/spicy with the right amount of lavender and a touch of sweetness. My wife absolutely loves it. Jean Paul Gaultier Men's "LE MALE" Soothing Alcohol-Free After Shave Balm Courtesy of Jean Paul Gaultier Aftershave splashes: Aftershave splash is probably what your dad’s dad (and his dad) used. Think of aftershave splashes as you would a toner. They’re more liquid in consistency than lotions and balms, and often contain astringent, disinfecting properties thanks to ingredients like witch hazel. Though they’re fresh and lightly scented, splashes are typically formulated with alcohol (which can irritate the skin and tighten up the pores), so be wary of using such products if you have dry, sensitive skin. Splashes are best used for those with oily skin, as they’re less likely to contribute to the grease (which lotions and balms may do) and instead tone the skin. Ultimately, if you’re a fan of that tingling sensation, a splash is for you.

That said, i like the scent profile. Its what mass appealing fragrances strive to be. It excels in spices and then woodiness at the end, there are fragrances that do both of these aspects better but none of them last this long and all of them are more expensive, except sandalo from AdP for sandalwood. Once they both start drying down, this is where Asad and Elixir separate. Much like Tom Cruise in Top Gun, Elixir puts on the afterburners. Unlike Tom Cruise, he doesn’t fly into jet wash and get his copilot killed. In fact Elixir is Ice Man - technically better than Asad pretty much everywhere. During this dry down, the 1980’s fougere makes its appearance. The spice remains, but the lavender, patchouli, and vetiver come through. I don’t care who or what this offends, or if it tears the very fabric of space time - the Elixir dry down smells like spiced Drakkar Noir - a really high quality, beautifully spiced, Drakkar Noir. That’s not a negative comment, in fact it’s friggin brilliant. It’s so manly, yet mysterious and seductive. After you spray it opens up with a woody smell accompanied by lavender spices and citrus which makes it smell fabulous. A bit later the lavender, cinnamon and licorice are more pronounced and these make it sweet and super dark. Then the dry down begins where the woods are more pronounced (there's no oud in this unfortunately) and the other notes together by the side. You can no longer really differentiate what is what by this point in a real world scenario, so it just smells like a unity of amazing ingredients that smell amazing.

The opening is absolutely insane, when you spray it on you're instantly slapped in the face with a bag of spices, with nutmeg and cardamom being the dominant ones. The cinnamon plays a supporting role and so does the dry grapefruit. After some time, the spices take on a more supporting role, and it morphs into what smells to me like a warm, spicy barbershop fragrance. It's not particularly sweet like stereotypical middle eastern fragrances. There's a very savory, slightly animalic (I think?) licorice accord that bet would smell AMAZING in the winter, but it also makes it cloying if oversprayed, especially in high heat. Demachy you effing genius. It’s like you went into a higher state of consciousness to access the secrets of the universe, pulling the best of your abilities together, and distilling them into this perfectly crafted beast of a fragrance. Good God is it intoxicating. This is the nectar of the Gods. This is what Unicorns smell like. When the universe was created, it smelled like Sauvage Elixir. Yes this is absolutely a beast mode fragrance with great performance that will get you noticed - but it’s so damn sweet and cloying. Aloe vera: By far, aloe vera is the best instant skin soother and works to cool the skin after a shave. It also features antiseptic, anti-inflammatory properties that help prevent burns, bumps and scrapes. Many lotion and balm formulas use aloe vera to ease any symptoms of razor burn, so finding a formula should be easy. I got rid of the EDT because I sprayed it on my undershirt and people were smelling me all day- even outdoors. This is even stronger though and to me it smells better.Keep getting whiffs of this and it's very good - smooth but spicy, lavender coming through, quite intoxicating. If you’re more of an aftershave splash dude, add this one from Ralph Lauren to your lineup. Housed in a minimalistic glass blue bottle with the iconic Ralph Lauren Polo logo, this formula is more lightweight than your standard aftershave balms and lotions, perfect for guys who are looking for a cooling, refreshing formula that has a subtle concentration of fragrance (and for those with oily skin types). This aftershave relies on allantoin—an extract from the comfrey plant—to hydrate and calm irritated skin. And if you’re strapped for time, you can double up and use it as an all-over body spray. Genius! Clean your skin: The first step to a good shave that doesn’t involve razor burn is making sure you’re shaving clean skin. Whether you have a beard or stubble, use a mild cleanser to get rid of dirt, oil and grime sitting on your skin.
