The National Trust acquired it, in 1981 as part of a bequest from Ralph Bankes (it included part of Corfe Castle village, Corfe Common and other nearby lands). The study room's imaginative 'hands-on' activities - from early medieval costumes to examining archaeological finds - provides an excellent preparation for, or follow-up to, a castle tour.
