There’s not much special about the 10-inch plush. It has the same problems as the 5-inch, so I would only recommend it to the same groups of people looking for something larger. In fact, I’d recommend this one over the 5-inch cause at least this one would be huggable. Then there are the droids. Their problem is that while they are non-human characters, their designs heavily rely on their silhouettes. You can look at the outline of pretty much any droid in Star Wars and identify it. Any good character design should have a distinct profile, but when there’s no face or clothing, that and the color palette are really all you have. I typically have an eight-inch rule for the most collectible Squishmallows because anything more significant will limit your shelf space. However, I could make an exception for the medium-sized Baby Yoda Squishmallow because the character is wildly popular. Meanwhile, I don’t love how the aesthetics change on the larger sizes. The Mandalorian isn’t the oldest Star Wars franchise, meaning Grogu Squishmallows don’t come in thousands of variants. So, I have a solution to the problem if you’re obsessed with collecting Grogu Squishmallows. The brand also makes a few excellent alternatives. I’d recommend one of two alternatives. Small Star Wars BB-8 SquishmallowA long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, we were given some of the most recognizable character designs ever to exist. Some are cute, some are cool, and even people who have never seen the movies know who these characters are. As one of the most successful franchises of all time, it is nearly impossible to avoid having at least base-level Star Wars knowledge. Then there was the reaction outside of those watching the series. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a single character gain so much popularity so fast. Baby Yoda and The Mandalorian pretty much have completely different fanbases. I’ve seen people gush over every little piece of baby Yoda merch, having seen only a few hours of Star Wars content in their lives. My nephew even refers to Yoda as Old Yoda, which makes sense. The Child is just as prevalent, maybe even more, than the Jedi Master nowadays. Looking for a charming gift for a loved one? Why not treat them to a Squishmallow? These adorable soft toys make a great present for birthdays, holidays, or any occasion that calls for a little extra cuddliness. From unicorns and pandas to flamingos and dinosaurs, you're sure to find something they love.

The least egregious of the R2-D2s is probably the 5-inch. Since it’s smaller, the fact that it’s just a head isn’t quite as jarring. It gets across enough of the signature squishmallow cuteness to be enjoyable. Then there’s Chewbacca. While he’s the same shape as a human, his most recognizable features are animalistic. His nose is wide and flat like a dog’s; it’s even a bit connected to his mouth like a muzzle. Not to mention, he’s entirely covered in fur! Squishmallow focuses on animals, so translating Chewy’s features is no problem. The Chewy plush is a lovely, rich shade of brown with a fuzzy spot of lighter brown to distinguish his face. He’s got his iconic bandolier wrapped around his lower half, denoting his preparedness. I absolutely love his cheery expression. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this kind of wide-eyed, toothy grin from Chewbacca in any movie, but I don’t care. It’s far too contagious for me to mind some canon inaccuracy. Pros I then choose the 20-inch specifically for a couple of reasons. One, Chewbacca is a large character, and I think that it is worthwhile to reflect that in his merchandise. Two, being able to snuggle into a huge pillow nearly the size of my entire torso is beyond comfy. it may be pricey, but if you find it at the right retailer, like Costco, you can get a good deal. All the Characters in Depth Baby Yoda is one of the best Squishmallow design results because of the character’s shape in the series. If you have held onto that childlike adoration for these kinds of critters then you’ll be pleased to hear about Squishmallows. They’re known as the classic stuffed animal updated for a more modern aesthetic. Baby Yoda is the best modern Star Wars collectible in any form. In addition, you’ll find Baby Yoda merch like statues, figures, and apparel. Grogu earned Star Wars fans’ love from the start. It’s good to know how famous the little guy is worldwide. Meanwhile, some of the Grogu Squishmallows can benefit children in more ways. I also have a few Squishmallow and plush collectibles from shows I love. So, it’s the one time I don’t mind buying a giant. In addition, this Squishmallow comes with a free Flip-A-Tote bag to store plushies and The Child. Fans can flip the bag around before washing it as it’s a double-sided joy, much like the Flip-A-Mallows. The Child Squishmallow Pros To be fair, I don’t think there was a way for Kellytoy to make R2-D2 into a satisfying squishmallow. The soft sphere just doesn’t translate to hard robotics very well. Yet, the collection would feel far too small with just Chewbacca and Baby Yoda, droids are a huge part of the Star Wars universe, and BB-8 and R2-D2 are the most popular ones. So while their choices are understandable, they just didn’t work out. Pros
