About this deal

Lenni and Margot are an unlikely friendship to say the least but boy oh boy does wonderful come from it! When telling Lenni that the stars “that we see the clearest are already dead” Lenni states “Well that’s depressing”. Margot loves gazing at the stars and on a cold clear night, Margot leads Lenni outside the hospital doors and into a quiet area. By having a young woman narrate Lenni and an older woman narrate Margot, the story is brought to life. Book description: Seventeen-year-old Lenni Pettersson lives on the Terminal Ward at the Glasgow Princess Royal Hospital.

Not because of God’s deciding to punish you and not because He is neglecting you, but simply because you are. Yet readers also see the yearning for love and wells of compassion hidden beneath his self-protective exterior. I especially enjoyed the dialogue conversations between Lenni and Reverend Author about ‘why’ was Lenni dying — at age 17. The characters are built up in your minds like a friendship builds in time and I came to love them and not want to let them go.

The nurse says it gently as she explains that the hospital has started to offer a counseling service for young patients whose conditions are “terminal. As their friendship deepens, it becomes vividly clear that life is not done with Lenni and Margot yet. This one has two amazing characters as you might guess from the title -- and both are terminally ill.

Ebooks fulfilled through Glose cannot be printed, downloaded as PDF, or read in other digital readers (like Kindle or Nook). They each tell things that happened throughout their lives then drew or painted a picture of that time. She is Lenni’s favourite nurse, a flamboyant woman whom Lenni met when New Nurse escorted her to the chapel.Although she is dying, she is not inclined to spend the rest of her life in the sterile hospital room where her daily visitors consist only of doctors and nurses. An emotionally layered and engrossing story of a family that asks: Can love make a broken person whole?
