Batman: During the Skirmish of Gotham Cathedral, Joker uses a revolver to hold Vicki Vale hostage at the Old Gotham Cathedral. The revolver firing in this scene is a sound effect added post-production since firing blanks in such close proximity can potentially injure or kill the actor in front of the barrel. This was, however, a holdover from a previous version of the script in which the Joker had a tank hidden inside one of his floats and it was instead the tank that shot the Batwing down.
