Family, community, generosity, and kindness are all on display throughout the whole story and it’s beautiful! I always appreciate a cookbook which blends the cook's story and experiences into the recipes, which Breadsong manages excellently. It really reminded me of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, with the child who turned into a blueberry.

I started off feeling a bit concerned as although the book sounded interesting and relevant to me, I really wasn't in the mood for reading a non fiction book.

And while Orange Bakery became a huge success, it was definitely a gamble for her parents to put so much time and money into something like that.It also spoke to me as a baker and I was able to get really excited for Kitty as her journey unfolded.
