About this deal

Fuck you, I hope you die a slow terrible death and choke on the vomit, which is the vomit of the vomit you just recently ate. There, she sees a faceless figure that she knows, somehow, is Reshaye – but a more innocent, helpless version of it. So good that I had to pause the audiobook and pick up the Kindle version and find the quote so that I could highlight it and bask in how perfectly it was delivered. And as her feelings for Maxantarius deepen, she is forced to decide how much she is willing to trade away for vengeance. With war coming up, I’m interested to see how Tisaanah and Max will fight and keep control of their powers.

Also, from the minute I saw him making a garden, I'd knew he was my soulmate, unlike some basic gardening bitches *cough*Elain*cough*. She had also helped Max a little before but I still don't like her work tactics and how she is working with Zeryth. There's no over exaggerated declarations of love or insta-anything and their interactions were a lot of fun to read. For those closest to her, the ones who truly love and see beyond her exterior; she values and protects with fierce loyalty.

i listened to a playlist while reading, it really made this book so much better if you are picking this book up next PLEASE listen to the playlist! First the things I didn't like about the book: I'm gonna be really honest here and say that more than the first half of this books was unnecessary and dragged out at some bits and I just felt bored in general while reading it. Max tells her about how, during the darkest time of his life, he stumbled into a café that was showcasing paintings of the artist’s wife. I’m really glad that we had a POV for both characters, though Max’s was introduced in the second half. When I came back to Daughter of No Worlds, I suddenly had greater understanding of how special this book is. OMG I LOVE THEM SM 🥺🥺🥺 For me, there's nothing better than when I absolutely fall in love with a cast of characters- and this book DELIVERED on that. At least I was doing something, unlike Max, who seemed fairly committed to doing absolutely nothing, ever.

Most of the passages I highlighted were because I laughed literally out loud at Max’s dialogue, or Tisaanah’s impression of him. They were both so genuine to each other and I liked how they both just acted in their feelings without fighting them too much!

Reshaye isn't even a person, and I just wanted it to be happy, although it was mind-torturing Tisaanah left and right. Her struggles to learn his language and assimilate into his culture also reminded me quite a bit of The Bird and the Sword by Amy Harmon, which was also a very sweet love story. DoNW is a whole book, in which all of the primary plot threads are wrapped up, leaving clear room for sequels but not leaving the reader hanging. Zeryth and Nura want Tisaanah to wield a very particular weapon and have been testing her all along for her ability to do this.
