The sound control is great and the different settings to use once you get comfortable playing the piano. The smart Split Mode, Lesson Mode, and Record Mode with USB audio/MIDI connectivity will suit beginners and professional players in any situation. They're hardly a household name, but they're an up and coming brand and the DEP-20 is one of their most popular offerings. When it comes to tone, I wasn’t expecting much from these pianos, especially since they’re entry-level options.

This digital piano comes with an automatic chord setting that allows you to play a specific cord by playing a single note. The Donner DEP-20 comes with FREE piano video lessons from popular piano teachers on Donner Music APP. They both feature 88-key keyboards with progressive hammer action, offer a realistic feel, and both come with decent speakers for practicing and jamming with other musicians. With that said, here are some things I found noteworthy about this piano" [The sound] The sound is really good. Only critique: it's pretty "tall", so depending on the stand you use, it may end up being a bit high up.

With that said, the Donner DEP-20 is still a great option with realistic hammer action, just not as good as the action on the Yamaha P-45. The sound is optimal, it is good for beginners but also for those who, like me, currently have no room for a more voluminous piano.

Keep in mind, the recording quality won’t be good enough to put on a song, but is more than enough to judge your own playing. With 128 polyphony, digital piano can provide super clear rendition, natural feeling of different sounds , perfect for teaching and learning. I wish it were a little cheaper, but I also know that if I paid less, I wouldn't get the level of quality this piano has, so it's a fair trade-off.When testing out the Donner DEP-20, I was let down by the very narrow selection of playing modes and other features. If you’re not sure what polyphony is, it indicated the maximum number of different notes that can be played at the same time before the first sustained notes start falling off. Please kindly know that there is a USB port on the piano to allow connection with a computer, you can use a universal connection cable. Using advanced "sampling" technology, the individual notes of the acoustic piano are recorded and combined to provide the final sound. As you can tell by this comparison, the pianos have a fair amount of differences, which made the comparison a whole lot of fun.
