This book was entertaining and I suspected almost everyone at one point, but I didn't feel like I was at the center of the action.When that woman is days later found strangled in Muswell Hill, Zoe is on the phone to the police PDQ. There isn't much I can say about the book without giving things away, so I'll just say that Hannah and Adam were well-meaning idiots and move on to some other issues.

Book review, I See You by Clare Mackintosh: a clever thriller

It premiered at the 2019 SXSW Film Festival and was released on December 6, 2019 to generally positive reviews. Mysterious events occur in their house - items go missing, a repairman states he was let into the house by their daughter despite the couple not having a daughter, and Greg becomes trapped in a closet, but when Jackie frees him, Greg sees nothing blocking the door and no one else in the room. I would be scared to read another by this author, and quite honestly, a bit afraid of the author herself! Zoe, however, is not convinced, especially when she sees another girl’s picture in another newspaper—a girl who was recently robbed and strangled. I also didn't like Zoe's live-in boyfriend, Simon, or her conceited, aspiring actress daughter, Katie.Your protagonist, Zoe, is tired, underpaid, works way too hard and looks after two demanding grown-up children. But then another girl pictured in the same ad is robbed on the tube, and another is found murdered in a park.
