I absolutely loved this fun, lighthearted read with a storyline that pulled me in and characters that attached themselves to my heart. I liked a fair amount of this, but there was just too much that I strongly disliked, to classify this as a book I enjoyed. What man in his right mind would decide that following her from state to state and house to house would be his kind of happily ever after? Her life has been far from perfect, but over the last few years, she’s carved a perfect life for herself.

I understand that every romance must contain a central love story and a happily ever after or a happy for now.

This still has the same small town feel and found family vibe as many of her other romances, with a more laidback tone and slightly less heat. Arriving in the small town of Kinship, Idaho to renovate the town’s historical Campbell home, Maggie wanderlust is waning, and she finds she may want to spread her roots. It’s interesting to see how she deals with her deep-seated fears and insecurities, as well as her desire to belong to something bigger than herself, while still trying to maintain her identity and independence.
