In recent years several other shows have dipped their toes in the intrusive thought and compulsive response cycle without even realising it at all. I have never known one that was afraid they would somehow get to be suicidal against their will, or have it somehow creep up on them. Every human being is visited from time to time by the Imp of the Perverse, who makes you think the most inappropriate thoughts at the most appropriate times. What’s frustrating to the OCD community, though, is the misrepresentation of our incredibly serious illness in media. Okay, so I'm reading the book The Imp of the Mind, and it goes through several factors of when someone should be worried of their intrusive thoughts.This can be a self-help book though there are cautions about safety before proceeding doing the therapies on your own.
