For some reason I find myself comparing other frangrances with this as if it were a benchmark to judge by. A lush bouquet (alternatively: men's décolleté) of slightly withered flowers, but which thereby actually develop more Bumms (attention inappropriate language) and which in combination with civet (at least in the vintage version) make a great fragrance. just one with an adult mindset and someone who is secure, confident and who likes classic, refined style. The initial application of Aramis 900 seems strong and harsh at first, but it dries down and softens immensely.

It is not that green rose stem scent as in Giorgio Vallenti dark rose or the metallic rose scent as in Burberry Brit it is instead a dusty velvety red rose accord.When I put it on my skin I get this beautiful musty curtain that the more living heart components have to break through. my father had a bottle of this perfume and I still remember the air changed every time he sprayed it on him. I don't know how they get pass the IFRA regulations, coz I can smell lot of Oakmoss, may be they have used synthetic oakmoss, but I don't feel it synthetic. This one can't be worn by anyone born in the 1970s or later, but it still suits men who were in their 30s back then.

Aldehydes (that hairspray smell) and Patchouli is what I get on first spray quickly followed dusty roses and moss. The names used are only as a reference to the fragrance and we are in no way affiliated or connected with these brands.Fantastic in the heat of summer, but it would be nice any time of year and perhaps more green in winter. About that civet: Its not fecal, exactly, but there is an animalic hint which actually blends well with the oak moss and green accords. I also noticed a strong civet note in the current formula that is missing in my vintage formulation - I'm not sure, perhaps the vintage had that civet note originally but it has since disappeared due to the age of my bottle?

Get hold of the old bottle if you can because I think it has been reformulated and now is not as strong.
