The pads and cymbals have velocity- sampling for different velocities of strikes on the drum kit. For example, my kit, the Alesis Strike, doesn’t even have great sounds to my ears. That kit is 5x the price of the Turbo Mesh and has a much better module. Playing on the kit will give a feel and experience similar to playing on an acoustic drum set, with the way it is set up and the fact that it is made of mesh head further enhances this experience. The Turbo Mesh electronic drum kit includes seven-pieces and mesh drum heads. As I’ve stated in other articles, mesh heads are now the standard on electric sets. You have two different types of outputs on every drum module we make- your main audio outputs and your USB output. These have very different functions and are going to determine how you proceed. Your USB output is only going to send the raw midi messages from your hits to your computer. That means information like what drum you hit, how hard you hit it, and how long you let the note ring. It does not include the sound. It comes with 10 different drum kit presets which include 4 electronic drum kit sounds, 4 acoustic drum kit sounds, an Afro-Cuban sound set and a Chinese sound set. These different sounds enable the drummer to try different new things while getting familiarised and developing his drumming skill. Although the drums are quite small in size, it is adjustable for different size of drum players. It is very easy to set up the kit and get it running as the assembly guide gives a detailed explanation on how to set up each part of the kit seamlessly. As with all, all-mesh Alesis kits the responsive, authentic feel makes the drumming and audio experience expressive and powerful. The metronome features different time signatures and tempos from 30-280 BPM. Use a metronome while you practice if you aren’t already. It helps your timing more than you know.It’s not intuitive, but it is one way to get bell sounds out of a dual-zone cymbal pad. It’s not my favorite feature. Also, you can program the processor to produce different sounds using MIDI I/O and ¼” and 1/8” I/O, as there is a provision for this on the module.
