Overall Opinion: I thought I’d give this author another try after reading this blurb. I tend to enjoy the woman on the run type stories and with a baby, so it seemed even better! Only this wasn’t really her on the run, more like her just starting a new life sorta story. I honestly just feel indifferent to it all. It took me a while to read it and I think that’s partially because I didn’t feel like anything was really happening. The suspense element to the story happens so late in the book I feel like it was thrown in to be the conflict but wasn’t all that thought out or interesting tbh. I never really connected with the characters and I felt like I was told about their connection to each other rather than feeling it. I know lots of my GR friends love this author and this series, so it definitely can be a me thing — but I just wasn’t feeling this book 🤷🏻‍♀️ Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Memphis and Knox’s story. Memphis is a single mother to an infant when she arrives in the small Montana town to work as a housekeeper at the local hotel. She is leaving her wealthy life and family behind for a brand new start. Part of that new start is living in Knox’s loft garage apartment arranged by his sister who manages the hotel. Knox isn’t interested in sharing his space, but after a while he starts to warm up to the young mother and her son. There’s a lot of baggage they have to work through for both of them, some big secrets revealed, some sexy times, and a suspenseful moment…and they get a HEA ending.

Sleeping with Griffin Eden was a huge mistake, one she’s trying to forget. He’s insufferable, arrogant and keeps reminding everyone that she’s an outsider. Winslow does her best to avoid Griffin, but when a woman is found dead on Eden property, the two of them have no choice but to cross paths.

Let me make this clear. You are mine. Drake is mine. For all of your todays and each of your tomorrows. Mine. Authors, if you are a member of the Goodreads Author Program, you can edit information about your own books. Find out how in this guide. Griff is not one for entanglements of the heart himself. He's certainly not a relationship guy and he doesn't mess with the locals. So when he finds out that the beauty he shared one night with is the town's new chief of police, he's not exactly thrilled. He's also not entirely thrilled that she is doggedly investigating what is an apparent suicide in a long stream of suicides in the small town. Winn and Griffin are definitely cute together, they fit together. I kinda liked how smooth their relationship was, even tho none of them wanted a relationship. Please note that the terrain that gives visitors such great views over the sea also means some pitches can be sloped, and you should bring levelling aids with you. I literally binge read this series in one day and I hate myself for finishing so fast because all I want to do now is to reread and devour this book again okay😭 Until one of Griffin's ranch hands had stumbled across a body at the base of 'Indigo Ridge.' Supposedly another suicide. Jasper must have put her under a spell with those soul-deep eyes because after a single night together, they woke up husband and wife. Her only hope is to keep this marriage a secret until it’s annulled. Then she’ll pretend it never happened. The sex scenes were awesome, we get a happy ending, double male and female pov. Griffin is rough, but not cringy, he actually gets pretty romantic at the end and we get some pretty exciting plot twits and high-stake scenes. She ends up in Knox's loft temporarily as she takes a job at the family's Inn as a housekeeper, never trying her hands at this before, a few utube videos later and she feels more confident of what is required of her.I cook for you because it’s how I show someone I care. I cook for you because I love the look on your face after that first bite. I cook for you because I’d rather cook for you than anyone else.” This book was a mystery/romance. I went into it completely blind which was the best way to do it. I had no idea where this book was going the entire time and it made for the best experience. The twists and mysteries in this book were so so so good it had me not able to put the book down because I needed to know what was going to happen. The romance, the mystery, the small town and their charismatic residents, all of it just hit the spot just right for me. We also get a sneak peek into the rest of the Eden siblings, and I can't wait to learn more about them in their books.

I think the only characters I really liked without any faults were his siblings because they were funny.

I liked the sidecharacters, especially Griffin´s siblings and Winn´s pops. The storyline was really sweet and I loved how the epilouge already teased Juniper Hill. the author focused entirely too much on the most insignificant information. i don't think we, as readers, give a shit about how green the grass is or how blue the sky is, and we especially don't care if the siblings breathe or choke. the fact we got more of the siblings and briggs than the main characters pissed me offfffffff. memphsisknox were perfect, okay I would not change a single thing about them at all. Knox has officially made his way to my top 5 book bfs, he's literally everything you want in a man, when I first read the synopsis you lost me at "chef" I was already planning the wedding HELLO???? Yet over the course of the book the story got worse and worse because more subplots were added and the story got way too full. I think I finally had enough when the Mafia was mentioned.
